    With Bobby P, if not for all of the mental issues in the second half this week we would have put up at least another one hundred yards of offence and fourteen to seventeen more points against a top twenty team. That is some insane production change from anything we have seen over the past thirteen years.

    There's a possible universe in which the OSU loss is the greatest thing to happen to this team. I bet this team would be too cocky heading into Auburn at 3-0. They'd be sniffing their own farts. But this might keep them humble, pissed, focused and hungry for the remainder of the season. Wishful thinking probably.

    Arkansas players have got to practice ball security. It's wild how terrible they are at that. The defense gave them multiple chances to close the game out. Only downside to the defense is they need a pass rush badly. QB has to learn to stop throwing the ball blindly just because he's getting rushed, take the sack, or throw the ball away.

    • @colemcdaniel8214
      @colemcdaniel8214 7 дней назад +1

      @thesaiyanprincevegeta I think he's very good at beating the pass rush on his feet. That's why he was chosen to be our starter. He needs to learn how to be more mobile in the pocket instead of breaking it or, like you said, throwing a bad pass under pressure. But it isn't completely his fault. Our O Line let a lot of blitzers run right by them. There were multiple times when Green tried to tell Jackson where the blitz was going to come from, and Jackson missed his assignment. Same thing with #55. He let defenders stroll past him on more than one occasion. These are all problems that are easy to fix. Arkansas beat themselves last Saturday, and everyone who saw the game or the stats knows it. Petrino will get all this ironed out. Under Petrino, I could see Green being drafted to the NFL like most of Petrino's QBs have.

    At least for me, I'm still not convinced that T Green is our best QB on the team. He short armed SO many important passes in the game against OSU. He passes like he is scared to throw a bad pass or an interception.

    • @colemcdaniel8214
      @colemcdaniel8214 8 дней назад +1

      Watch his film at Boise State. He has developed a ton over just the last few months and will continue to develop his arm even faster through this season. He threw some bad passes late in the game, he got tired and his mind went. He's excellent on his feet and can turn anything into a play. He dealt with some mistakes from the pass blockers and he made some mistskes of his own, but there isnt a better QB on this team. Green is absolutely one of the best QB's in the SEC, that's why Petrino had his eye on him. If you think KJ Jackson or Malachi Singleton will be better, then I have good news for you: they're both freshmen. They'll have their day if they stick around and I believe at least one of them will.

      @rickeydavis3312 Yes. It's common among everyone. When you start getting tired, your mind is the first thing to go. Ask any trucker, roughneck, or nurse.
      I think Taylen Green will finish this season among the best SEC quarterbacks. He made some mistakes this game. And he had some really poor pass blocking. Petrino is going to straighten all that out. After watching these last two games, I'm very confident in this team.

      They had a veteran offensive line. We have a lot of great recruits that are still pretty young on our line. Not to mention, everyone was expecting the primary threat to come from Doak Walker award winning RB Ollie Gordon II. We practiced all week for OGII. If you go back and watch the defense, Sorey actually did jump in to rush the QB on most plays, but he hung back for a minute to make sure he didn't leave a lane open for OGII. When he saw Gordon was pass blocking, he made his move. He was never able to get a sack, nor was anyone else, but he did help force some incompletions.
      We won that game in every category except the one that matters. Sometimes good teams just lose. I wanted to see a win but I'm still very excited about what I did see.

      @@umbreonix What did Kepesky say that was wrong? OSU Coach Gundy in his post game presser said that OSU made adjustments at half which slowed our offense almost to a stand still in the 2nd half. Petrino did NOT make adjustments in the 2nd half or notice the OSU adjustments in the 2nd half. @derickmcdonald2422 Fair enough. But what I always hear people say is "Petrino is one of the best offensive minds in football," which is what you said. I think we should wait more than 2 games--one blowout win and one 2OT loss--to pass any judgment on him. I think the offense looked great at getting yards and bad mentally in the 2nd half. I mean, we were putting together big plays in the second half too. We got killed by fumbles, dropped snaps, muffed punts, INTs, and bad pass blocking. Those are all easily coachable.
