I once saw a film where tiny, very strong creatures who had an aversion to light, set about murdering the occupants of a house (or houses). One of the scenes I remember most had the creatures using a coat hanger to turn off the bathroom light before attacking their victim with a cut-throat razor. The final scene had the creatures dragging an injured woman to their underground lair as she tried to drive them away using single use flash bulbs from a camera. I had rather hoped you might have included this one as I cannot, for the life of me, remember the title. It may even have been a short film or part of a creature feature series. Do you have any idea of the film title?
It was a made for tv movie from the early 70's called "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark " It should have been referenced in this video along with the third part of the Trilogy of Terror movie called "Amelia" that featured a Zuni Warrior- Possessed wooden doll figure that terrorized the heroine.
The problem with some of these films is that they are just poorly done. It has nothing to do with people getting tired of tiny monsters. If you make a decent movie, at least some people will appreciate it. Gremlins, Ghoulies, Basketcase and Critters are all good, fun, entertaining films so they they did pretty well. Hobgoblins and Munchies didn't do as well because they are pretty bad films with really bad puppets.
Surprised the Puppet Master series wasn't mentioned here. It's a series that is still going on to this day!
I suppose he makes a distinction between monsters and puppets.
Killer puppets / dolls were popular enough to warrant their own video.
The troll sequence of cat's eye trau-ma-tized me as a child, I still find it creepy as hell.
saw at the drive in when i was a kid i was glad i had multiple cats lol
What about Trolls? Man, that one got me as a kid.
We've had The Ring vs The Grudge, Freddy Vs Jason, we NEED Gremlins vs Critters
Troll and Leprechaun should definitely count
How has this channel not more subs?
I can't believe you forget the Zuni Doll and the minions of Radu in Subespecies movies!
