- Formed in 1991, Finnish rock outfit HIM, are no strangers to putting on an outstanding show. They have expanded their horizons past Finland, and especially reached high popularity here in the United States. HIM brought their unique blend of gothic rock to the JBTV Studios, which included Ville Valo on lead vocals, Mikko "Linde" Lindström on guitar, Mikko "Migé" Paananen on bass, Janne "Burton" Puurtinen on keyboards, and Mika "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen on drums. When you think of a band that has honed in on and exceled in a niche genre of music like gothic or glam rock, HIM will without a doubt come to mind. These guys have a knack for giving their fans what they want, producing multiple hit records, and delivering stellar live performances time and time again.

He writes great solos and then sets them on fire live. Digital versatile doom he plays razorblade romance songs but the solos are maxed out In the best way. He just knows how to express himself on a six string!

Wow, take a look at Ville at 1:17. You can hear Gas making a mistake and the look on Valo's face is PISSED! Haha!
Didn't hear a mistake on Gas' end. Being a musician, technically the "lead guy" playing guitar and singing, I do what Ville did at 1:17 all the time. When my singing takes a break during an instrumental part I almost always turn around to "rock out" with my drummer. You could be completely right though!
Gas accidentally started playing the hi-hat instead of the the crash. Then he switches to the crash.
