One insight i remember hearing that makes me respect svt so much is how these reactors asked carats for their fav songs and they said how there’s so little overlap, and that only proves how good svt is at making good songs over an array of sounds and genres, rather than just one type of sound thats either good or not. So i can understand certain songs not hitting, but appreciating its still good and well made. Also the album as a whole has a very retro nuance, but in different genres cause all of the songs sort of took inspiration like that to make the album theme cohesive. Thought i’d mention that cause it’d make more sense too. As for April shower, it’s a take on ‘april showers bring may flowers’ in a way to say hardships comes to bear pretty results so to just embrace it. Its also linked to the fact they debuted in may, so its also like a comfort song for their past selves like its fine that u struggled but look at the flower u’ve become.

I actually love this album but I Don't Understand But I Love You has quickly become one of my favorite B Sides and yes its for the international Carats based on a comment a fan left during one of their lives where they basically said "I don't understand what you're saying but I love you anyway."
