Still pretty plausible gwin's lack of podiums was because of the bike, he even admitted he didnt like the short rear end although he did at some point get a custom longer rear triangle without reeling in the expected results. bonky wonky nope. Gwin won specialized too. Won world champs w specialized but that was it. He won a couple of world cups with nuke proof in 2014 but no world cup series since late 2000's....

i'm kinda knew to bike suspension system but, why do you need the end stroke to be less progressive ? Isn't for downhill, the more progressive the better ?
Air shocks are naturally pretty progressive, so the linkage is regressive towards the end of the stroke to help use that travel. It's easy to tune more progressiveness in to an air shock if you wan't it, but you can't take it out
I wouldn't say so... Mumbling mhm's is such a common mistake also done by some really good journalists. It's just human. The questions and conversation was good! I'd blame it on the lack of sound design in post :) Would be 10 minutes of work to edit it out along with the scooter noise.
