    Thank you for the great tutorial. Could you suggest a substitution for the palm oil in the recipe?

      Babassu oil has a similar consistency to palm oil so it would be a great substitute. Or you could increase the coconut oil to 8 oz but as this oil can be drying to the skin you would want to combine with 4 oz of a moisturizing oil such as avocado or almond.
      If you are concerned about using palm oil for ethical reasons, our palm oil is sourced only through suppliers that source the oil through sustainable means and are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an organization supporting sustainable palm oil production.

    Thankyou for sharing your really easily done whipped soap recipe should I add preservative to kill bacteria if giving as a gift?

    • @makeyourown7316
      @makeyourown7316  4 года назад +1

      Yes, if you will be selling this or giving as gifts a preservative is required. You can use DMDM Hydantoin or Optiphen Plus which are both great preservatives that are water soluble. You will need to refer to the usage rates for whichever you choose.

    Because you used water in the recipe doesn't it require a preservative?

    (1) Can any melt & pour soap be used, and (2) does the texture stay creamy, as it looks when you finished making the whipped soap, or does it stiffen up?

    So Castile Melt and Pour Soap? Glad I watched, the ingredient list doesn't say Castile Melt and Pour Soap, says Castile Soap. Thanks.

      Yes this recipe uses Castile Melt & Pour Soap Base. Sorry for the confusion!

    Does it have to be Castile Soap?
