There is no way we can decide how many hours should we keep the heater on. it depends on the plug temperature itself. What i do is that i always run the heater on lower setting and keep checking the plug after 10-15 minutes; it the plug feels warm i turn the heater off. Also, if you use a power socket(16A ) to run the heater the plug will take much longer to heat.

Sir we purchased this same model. In the right air vent in the front just on the left side of bajaj logo, cool air keeps on coming out even if we select the hot (1000w) or warm (2000w) setting. The rest of the two air vents give out warm air but the warmness is not that much on both 1000w and 2000w if we compare it to an old heater blower which we have and which is 10 years old. Is this a defective piece that we have received? Should we try for replacement?
Nothing can be said without actually using it in person. However those are not separate vents. Its just the grill that make it look like separate vents. I have also noticed on almost all the blower type heaters that one side air is warmer that the other side. So, this can't be an issue with you heater as all heaters do that. But, if you claim that the it is not heating much, then you must replace it if you can. however if you are happy with the amount of heat then keep it.

Do bajaj provide an engineer visit at home for service or will we have to take this to their service center? If the latter then it sucks to take a new device to the service center.

One thing i would mention though is that when we buy a new heater the fan is new and well lubricated then thus it spins faster and the air moves faster. Faster moving air feels less warm to the hand. Also, i'm not sure if bajaj offers at home service. But, if you bought your heater from a local shop then you can take it back and check if the heater is working fine or not. IF bought Online replace it if there is still time. Other option is to take it to a trusted local repair shop and ask them if there is something wrong with you heater or not.

IF the fan is making noise the you will have to open the heater and put some machine oil on the rotor shaft of the fan. IF the sound is coming because of vibration then put put rubber band on the feet of the heater, or put the heater on a rubber mat.

as you can probably hear in the video. such heaters don't make much noise specially at the low setting.
At high setting it is barely noticeable.

Just running the fan takes about 50 watts.
low heat setting uses about 1000 watts.
high heat uses about 2000 watts.

A normal plug would heat up. you can change the plug but don't run it at higher setting. Even at lower setting don't run it for longer period of time.

if your room is fairly insulated, then you can use ceiling fan for air circulation.

The element in these type of heaters does not turn red. But if you stop the air flow then the element will turn red.
