You can't take flag or ball through it.
There should be a set amount of tps you get with the equipment. Being able to constantly swap back and forth is going to be so broken in tournament play.

9 times out of 10 - yes.
On Halo yes , on every other game no, keys is way better on most games
You'll always have better aim with MnK, but Halo should always be controller. That's just how Halo should be played

I started on controller 20 years ago, now I play on kbm.
I have a 1.8k/d or better on many playlists and my average accuracy sits between 40% and 65% (Dont play ranked cause im in OCE and literally havent been able to find a ranked match since s2) so it depends how youre trying to enjoy the game. If you're trying to be competitive in ranked then your best bet is controller, but if youve already been playing infinite on kbm since launch then the change in muscle memory is pretty rough, and if I can maintain a high k/d on kbm then clearly in the casual world its more of a personal preference thing than a legit handicap..
