They played it live on a TV show in France. Agree that Ale’s bass work is fantastic as is Pau’s restrained but perfect drumming. And of course Dany slayed it. 😎👍
They have said that they had very little notice ahead of time that they would have to play a cover and had very little time to practice before playing it on SiriusXM, so it is more impressive considering how they killed it.
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was Feeling it (Pau's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!!
Ican only hope that they do Ironic cover also 🤞...
And after I saw this cover, I bought Alanis Morissette's album LP "Jagged Little Pill" at the same day.

Hey, Johi! Glad you're back with The Warning. Dany's vocals and Ale's bass playing is out of this world! Pau has such a great groove back there in her own little caged up world.

Just because TW plays Rock with a harder edge, many people (including some long-term fans) seem surprised that they could take a popular tune from the grunge era and make it their own. People don't fully appreciate the diversity of each of their skill sets. But you have only to watch videos of their formative years as musicians to see that Ale knows how to play many styles of bass and Pau can cover anything any of her many inspirations have played. But Dany, you have only to watch her midnight shows from during the Pandemic to understand that there is little if anything she can't sing. And for those who doubt Dany's guitar credentials, how many great performers have acknowledged her, some gifting her guitars in recognition of her talent and she seems to get better each time they go out on tour.
I really don't care how good they are and certainly don't need to keep hearing and reading it in practically every video by this band. All I care about is I like what they do, just not interested in how good they are (or aren't) as musicians since it has no baring on my appreciation of their music.

Attacking other commenters because you are not interested in what they are saying is a very selfish act, in my eyes. Just write something about what you find interesting instead.
I for one like to hear people commenting and informing about artists skills. If you don't then that is ok - just ignore those. Thank you!
@ancltube informing is perfectly fine, it's the bragging that a lot of fellow TWA members do that's annoying. You'd swear everything this band does is miraculous or has never been done before! If they posted a video of Pau sneezing, certain sections of TWA would be losing their minds saying crap like it's the greatest thing they've ever seen. Whilst they are indeed excellent, a lot of what they do is not groundbreaking or revolutionising music, it is just the product of talent, dedication and a lot of hard work.
@@davidrees4218 I can't really see anything of what you describe in the comment you replied to, but maybe you do. When you read things that annoy you, maybe try taking a deep breath (or maybe a walk) and ignore it, instead of yelling at it. That makes the world a much nicer place to be in, in my opinion.
@ancltube there wasn't any, that's why. He's a longtime fan and appreciates the girls for what they are ie. Talented musicians and songwriters. He is not one to brag them up as the best thing since sliced bread or the Second Coming!

I disagree. Whilst I have never been a fan of Alanis Morrisette, I think this is an excellent cover, but it is not better than the original. (I'm saying that as a The Warning fan).

Heh. In my warning song, that I lost when my computer broke last summer, there was a line that said; warning army got my back, nas khan my brother where are you at. It also had almost every song title from the warning in the lyrics. Im still freeking out cause there was no back up and I cant remember how it went.😥

Hi Johi, they played this live at the Los Producers charity event before the Latin Grammys, and on the French TV show Taratata. I haven't seen any performances of it at concerts on tour. I hope things get better for you soon.

Good to see you back and Thanks again for your Big support to the Warning during the years. And this cover, IMHO it is better than the OG, cause I never liked the OG singers whiny voice then. I started to go down TW rabbit hole last Feb only and been hooked ever since. It has been a great joy and therapy to me. I think this Summer they are not gonna ”hit Finland” I hope it of course. Sweden is possible though. Hope you can find your energy and inspiration back to make some videos and all. Greetings from Helsinki 🇫🇮.

I agree. This is better, and if you consider that Flea played the bass and Dave Navarro guitar on the original, this is amazing. Dany covering Navarro and singing Alanis, Ale killing the bass part, and when did Pau learn jazz drums?

@@JohiPlays I think this is the first time I have seen Pau use a brush let alone switch from brush to stick to brush and finish with a stick. She was laying what she was not using at the moment on a floor tom for easy access.

They have sold 30,000 tickets for their Mexico City shows in February and have been putting out concert and festival dates. The most recent one I saw the font for The Warning has definitely gotten bigger and more prominent than it used to be.
BTW, did you see that Dany got another guitar from a different idol? Orianthi gave her one of her PRS Private Stock guitars last week and they played Back in Black together.

Dany and Pau both came on stage after they started singing and tore the vocals up. Both of them were free to move around without instruments.
I hope you give similar praises to the musicians in Alanis Morissette's band for their playing of this song as well? Because they play the same parts. And yes I am aware Ale actually changed the bass line a little too.
