Well it's not a gross sack of crap full of fake promise of free everything.
I honestly haven't been this hyped for a game since Red Dead 2. This is the second time I've ever pre-ordered a game. First time was Red Dead 2.

I guess it is for mass appeal I get it if you are into game like Fortnite and trying to get normal people into the thing you are marketing. It's just kind of sad the vision of this they could have made something amazing.

The developers have focused so much on "the flow" " fun zone" of this game that this is literally like the skateboarding version of a first person shooter. Everyone can go out and do it but each person will have their own unique style of how they flow through the game. Like advanced chess combat where you can attack weak points, meat hook a guy across the level, freeze bomb another, swing on a bar and flamethrower up a group all in a matter of seconds. The combat in this is so deep that it lets you see what the player is thinking. It's such a refreshing take on fps games. From what I've seen I also love the interactive hallways and buttons and platforming, the fortress of doom, the idea that they're coming out with add on story content. The depth in the settings, customizing controls, armor, guns, There's NPCs in this one, tons of more enemies with alot of depth onto how they attack and how you must fight them, there is so much to unlock, I am going to dive so deep into the lore of this game. I am beyond hyped. It looks like the devs put their heart into this on to make a game fun to play and worth playing. Nothing's cooler then seeing Hugo straight destroying on nightmare mode of this (his) game inverted on a controller, non the less. Got my copy preordered and the world is on pause just so I can play this game while tucked away inside during the pandemic haha crazy timing

The game ended at some point which must have sucked. I know when 2016 ended I was like omg I can't wait to play the next one!

In real journalism, 10/10 doesn’t exist. Can’t wait for the game though
Because nothing is perfect. To give something 10/10 is not really a good move as there is always room for improvement. I'd still go for 9.5.

ID came back from the depths of hell and slaughtered any FPS competition in 2016 and this year. They raised from the grave and they are setting the bar really far up for the future of this industry. The single thing that redeems Bethesta now is the ressurection of ID software. I fucking love it.

dude, what happened to cheat codes? from original "fun and silly ways to play games left there by devs" to basically non exisatnt. so weird we have to actually pay for cheats these days, like in asasins creed where you can essentialy buy cheats. BUY CHEATS. IN SINGLE PLAYER GAME!

Wow, what an incredible review. The recognition of DOOM being a motif for the underlying message it’s looking to exclaim through its fast fun and creative gameplay was fantastic. ESPECIALLY the relatable nature of Doom 3 in regards to the story driven points. Gaming Bolt is making big-brained plays.

You can clearly see he didnt pick up any power up, and when he switches to fists, the icon at the bottom right changes from a fuel canister (chainsaw) to a fist. And if he did have berserk active, it would show a berserk power icon in the bottom middle of the screen which it doesnt. Fists are confirmed it seems.
I like the way this guy talks. He doesn't sound like talk to text! Also, looking forward to the gorefest that WILL be Doing Eternal!

very extensive, intense review. I was already super excited to play this after preordering it months ago but now I'm just torturing myself
The idea of the Fortress of Doom sounds cool. I wonder where it came from though? Was it the Doomslayer's base in Hell and it's been moved to Earth? Or maybe Samuel Hayden had it made to keep the slayer contained and pacified? Thus the combat trainer.
So many great games coming out. Very excited for Resident Evil 3 as well.
kinda worried about the low ammo count. i liked how in DOOM 2016 you werent forced to glory kill but i feel like in this game they are pushing it way harder

The problem with Doom2016 was that there was no variation in intensity, which burned me out halfway through the game.. I wonder if that changed in this game?

the ONLY thing I haven't liked so far about what I've seen is how often "low ammo" pops on screen. I understand the change and the mechanic behind it... but I have a feeling it's going to get a bit annoying.
already preordered and super stoked about this game.
It doesn't seem like too much of a negative for me considering how they intentionally rebalanced the game to incentivize as much weapon switching as possible so when you run out of ammo on one weapon it's because you're relying too heavily on one thing and not using all of your options
