    How RA-RNTI is calculated and why it is used? Is it a unique ID or is it common to all UEs.

      RA-RNTI = 1 + Td, for FDD, where Td is the first subframe in which Rach Preamble is sent

      Contention can take place if two UEs send same preamble at same time then out of two, rach of one ue will be failed

    Well before SIB1 MIB1 Is decoded and only after MIB one it decodes SIB1 From where it gets SIB2 , SO YOU MISED MIB

      RA-RNTI is ID in terms of frequency (provided by frequency offset present in sib2) and time (prach configuration index present in sib2)

      PHICH is present in 1st ofdm sysmbol of all subframes. It is a DL channel and it is used to send ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of data received in UL.

      @@lteplusplus1225 Adding something more about this.. pls correct me if m wrong..PHICH is transmitted in MIB.PHICH is used for ACK/NACK,but its configuration is present in MIB,Which tells ue abt no. of PHICH group, no. of PHICH RB's,so that ue can calculate PDCCH RB's or CCE
      1 PHICH Group=8 PHICH's
