Out of the box, this is great for what I need. However, I have just found out that this is compatible with the Aerocaster Switcher app which means you can connect an iPad and up to 4 phones to this making it a switcher with pip, chromakey etc. This justifies the price alone.
Just waiting for delivery of mine. Thought this would be a great travel device when on the road. Also hoping that I can plug the HDMI out from my ATEM mini into the uvc 02 to bring in more video sources
Great unit Lon thanx. Personally ( as a former DJ ), I would rather have more sliders and controls than rely on a screen and software. Good find - amazing for the price.👍👍👍
Yeah if you just need a single input it could do what an ATEM mostly does although the ATEM does have four HDMI inputs vs. 1 for this. I am not seeing anything on stream deck compatibility unfortunately.
Hi, I have been checking out your videos. They are wonderful. I have a request I appreciate if you do so. I work in a home office and I'm looking for buying a printer. Could you please help me with what to choose? Many thanks.
Their suggested use case is one of those goose neck microphones that integrates the connector at the bottom. But for other mics the cable definitely gets in the way.
This looks like a great product. I find it hilarious how rode is just showed off their streamer x at NAB which is essentially this product but with a few less features I think but for $399! Even when you move up to the four input Roland video capture for $695, that would be the same price as the rodecaster pro 2 but without any video inputs. So just doesn't make any sense to go with rode. Oh and before I forget, your email blast didn't have any thing in the subject line.
got this for 150 and it is a huge steal. I do not know why they did not market this better. so many solo creators would love this
Very cool device! Thanks for the video and review this looks like something that will be a winner for many use cases.

I want to use a Rode Go II wireless mic. Will that work?

that should work!
For the camera connection, does it have to be HDMI or a USB webcam connects to the computer will work fine as well?
HDMI

The ducker is soooo useful!
This is definitely better than the Rode Stream X.
Lon, Great video. Can this be used instead of an ATEM and can a Stream Deck be integrated with it? Thanks much.

Hey Lonnie!
If buttons = quality, this is a superior device. 😁
Nice
Very nice compact form factor, especially compared to the Rode products but why on earth do they put the XLR connection on top?

@@LonSeidman Use a right angle XLR plug on the end of the cable...

Yeah I was moving too quickly and forgot to add the subject. Funny thing is that it had way more opens than usual :).
I think the Rode has more features and does 4K rather than 1080p. However for what I need this is a great device.
