The spread cull is hands down, my favorite move in magic. You did such a wonderful job teaching it. I wish I had learned it from this video! And I agree, there is sooo much you can do with it. Great work! 👊😎
Just watched your tutorial again! I was not very smooth with my cull or at least in my eyes I was not. Reviewed your tutorial and once again there was that little tip that I had either overlooked or forgotten, and after some practice my cull is looking good. will continue to practice of course but again thank you so much for your great tutorials! Even after two years, very helpful...
Really well done instructions here. You give some great details that Kostya doesn't get in to in Roadrunner Cull. I found your video to be the PERFECT follow-up to help me trouble-shoot.
Ahaa! I agree with your comment in the description right away, I think this is one of the hardest moves to get perfect too, and I am working so fkn hard at it right now I WILL get it! OK, now to unpause and watch the video. Cheers for doing this. 😄👍
@@ReidFerry i loved the part where you show your way of deliberately pausing dude. Reason being, because I couldn't cull cards for so long I developed a workaround and have taught it to a few people, some of whom decided not to bother to keep trying to learn culling and have stuck with my workaround version instead. It also features the concept of deliberately pausing but is a bit different to your idea. I MUST RECORD AND SHOW YOU! (I will try to do it very soon ok). Its basically a way to cull any number of cards without having to be able to cull as we know it. It is a very very easy way of achieving the same thing. Requires an ability to talk and patter as a misdirection, but thats as hard as it gets. I still use it as I havent got the proper cull smooth enough yet. Anyway mate, thanks afor a great video. You gave me some points I hadn't heard before 👍🙂🍻
@@ReidFerry Well mate, I do have a move I discovered to share with you as I'd love to hear your opinion on it. Although I think its obvious, most magicians are going to like this kind of a sleight: achieves exactly same as the DPS without needing to do the DPS! Hehe. We all know a few folk who would love that ability right now eh! Anyway I won't bore you with the explanation but please do read it on the video description. There's 2 clips, both 30 seconds or less, one performance and one exposing the move. Apparently, despite my having created this as you'll see in my description, it was a move already created by no lesser hero than Mr Paul Le Paul! So, although I don't get to claim first original rights to creating this sleight, I do get the accolade of sharing a creative genius streak with Paul Le Paul and thats pretty cool 👍💥👍 ruclips.net/p/PLweZmosd2vq4q-0yhDjNemfXcZTMkrezZ AND... I will drop you an email when I do the video I said I was gonna do!
A detailed tutorial dude!. I find it difficult to curl multiple cards, when I do so the whole deck went up messy. Thanks dude for this video. I am gonna practice with your techniques.😁🤘🏻. I understood well dude,i think with a litlle bit of practice I can able to that. Great video dude. So clear. Thank you so much dude. Looking forward for more videos🥳🤘🏻
Yea man I’d love to! Check out my website and sign up for a private lesson here: www.rfsleights.com/book-online It’s the best way for you to learn as I can really help you perfect the move and address what you’re doing wrong. The cull is the best move in card magic in my opinion, and I’ve had several people sign up for lessons just to learn the cull from me. It will be well worth it and we can go into much more than just the cull if you’d like including effects, theory and anything else you’d like to explore. Let me know if you have any questions man
I believe I talk about this in the later sections of the video. If not, you want to use a reverse spread for the top few cards. The very top card can either but pulled directly into cull position and the spread over top of it or left until after your cull and shifted in a different way
@@ReidFerry Damn I didn't think you'd answer that fast ! And I even forgot to say thank you for that great tutorial ! I don't believe you talked about it later on as I was looking specifically for this. How would that work with a reverse spread ? If that can give you a better understanding of what I am trying to do, it is actually the "smiling mule" trick. I tell my spectator that their card is going to appear between the two jokers which I control on top and bottom of the deck. I get a bit of a laugh when I reveal that the whole deck is between the jokers and therefore their card is. I cull their card as I spread, and then turnover pass to get the jokers back into the center of the deck with their selection between them. I am always afraid that their selection would be the first card on top after the joker.
@fabriceducloux1940 thanks man!! I knew I talked about this somewhere, I was able to track it down it was during a live stream, hope this helps! 57:45 of this video: ruclips.net/user/live1dLtEwfMIyc?si=D0OJGnw1yZ2AbhKX

Thank you!
Thanks. A great tutorial. I thought your explanation of the mechanics of culing one card was more detailed/precise than Kostya's!

Amazing video. Very useful! Any tip updates since then on the cull? Wasn't sure if your technique/thoughts have changed since then. TY!
Thanks! Yes a few things have changed…maybe I’ll make a tutorial revisited 👀
1st vid of yours that I watched. Very informative. Thank you! PS: Theres something very Daniel Madison'ish to your card handling in the intro haha
Thanks a lot man!! He’s a huge inspiration so no doubt!😁🤘🏻
Awesome tutorial! I need more practice lol
Thanks BH! It’s definitely a tough move
muito boa aula
Could you do a one on one tutorial with me just on the spread full? Or whatever the easiest cull is?😬

Perfect man, looking forward to it! 😁 enjoy your travels
What happens if I want to cull the very first card, or the second or third card ? I won't have a cover then
