Thanks Jaroslaw for taking these styles to our time 25 years later :) It's been part of my hardest clubbing days... unforgettable times, unforgettable nights, unforgettable music... and you dance just like you'd have been there back in the day - 101% authentic ;) Bigups!
Great tutorial!!! And don't listen to all those haters!!! Back in the days it was all about love and tolerance! That is what's missing in a lot of comments. What a shame....
13 later I needed to refresh my memory and thankfully the video is still here. Dancing Lindy Hop now, but the old steps sooner or later turn out useful.
I bought the Prodigy music video VHS as a kid and spent literally hours watching it trying to get Leeroy's dance... What I didn't realise is that in the clips the floor is always soaking wet or dusty... makes it a HELL of a lot easier! But still noone can do it as good as Leeroy. 1:45 in 'Everybody in the Place'

good work mate. i am 23 now, and i remember when my nephew in 95 learned me this moves :) in those days i had no idea about prodigy, it started for me few years later :) i still love em :)
i remember my self pausing and resuming the everybody is in the place clip in order to learn leeroys moves, i did it, but leeroy makes his moves so harmonic, hes the man! great video tho!!!
i was there the first time they played in a big rave and the droped this tune !!!! raindance !!!!!!! i knew i was in the presants of greatness !!!!! i will never forget it
Never attempt to learn these sick moves when your on a sesh. Or your mate will make you pay for the glass table you just fell threw 😄 true story. Prodigy for life!!!
Good to see that there are still people interested in the 90's style breakbeat dance. Just a remark. Maybe you could not be very "natural" for the needs of the tutorial but there must be more movement and involvement of the arms and shoulders so that the whole "package" looks cooler/smoother..
PIONEERS OF THE HOUSE MUSIC SCENE IN THE UK ALONG WITH 808 STATE etc. Listening to this tune and watching this guy do his moves certainly brings back happy memories.
Zalamael semeper dius , Sorry but I guess you miss the point as his breaking down the dance moves so people can see how its done . I think he did a good job myself :-) now im old I cant seem to keep up lol . but back in the day :-)
Fuck i know that feeling man. I normally just sit at the bar yelling at the dj to turn that shit down cuz i cant hear the bird im chatting up nowadays. Getting old man, feels bad man.
to all haters who said somthing like "he dont feel the musik" or "it looks robotic" or "like a puppet on strings" this is a tutorial to teach the BASICS to people who dont know anything about that style
I can say that you're doing a little bit modified Melbourne Shuffle. Actually Leeroy was one of the first "developers" of this style of dance. I think his dance style was slightly hard to classify. In my opinion it is a combination of elements of Melbourne Shuffle and Jumpstyle. Anyway, I always like his dance, he brought me to learning it. I think you're dancing good, tutorial is good as well.
This is a tutorial as the title suggests. This dancing has been around since the late 80s. The Prodigy dancers used these moves at their concerts and in their videos.
This routine reminds me of the moves my boys and I used to do all night at Konkrete Jungle in NYC, and Camo, also. Jungle style started out as all this goodness.
the prodigy learnt their moves from the early ravers at the time as their music was quite popular at that type of scene. in a documentry known as "melbourne shuffler" leeroy even has a scene in it and explains this
Some people just are not co-ordinated or naturally able to do certain moves & may need help to learn, but those same people may dominate in another skill/area where you may not. No-ones perfect, the lads offering a decent guide & took the time to make for others, stop trolling, or is this your skill?
like i say some people cant dance, simple, leave the lad alone hes making a helpful video, the contrast is you are here just posting negative vibes, the total opposite from the spirit of our culture. Live | Love | Dance
This is the dance which Leeroy with Keith find out, shuffle was formed from this style. This is tut for begginers, try this quite faster and you will see

At the age of 15-17 i was the king of dance clubs with those moves. That was in 1993-97. What great times!!! Out of space and No good era.

Me too XD
It just makes you look like you've got a severe disability, best avoided.
Ahahahah++++

Awesome, I've been trying to figure this out since the 90's! Thanks!
Это самый лучший туториал, который я нашла на ютубе по танцам продиджи! 😍👍🏻

The prodigy videos from early 90's inspired me but could never manage it....your a good dancer and a jason bourne double in this vid.

the freeze at the end was a nice touch.
эх, не было в 90х ютуба, приходилось вылавливать в телеке случайный показ клипов и запоминать движения.
Running man + Melbourne shuffle, of course Leeroy was one of the early pioneers of the Shuffle =)
Brilliant! it is really hard to slow some of those moves down to try and teach others! I thought you were really good. Thanks 👍
