Hello, can you please tell me the name of the tool you are using to open and close the chain you used on this bag. I am at a loss. I am slowly following along and I think I may over time actually get this .. but I love doing it. I got to the chain and did not know how to open or close it. I appreciate any information you can share about this. I love your tutorials wow they are amazing. Thank you for sharing ♥
Hi Louise. I'm glad to know that you love making bags. For the tools I bought no name tools from local shop, it might be from China. But I found some chain opener tools from Amazon via this link amzn.to/2YTidlI which might possible to use about the same as mine.
Hi Susie. Basically this leather (Alran Goat Skin) comes in 1.2-1.4 mm thickness. I use 1.2 mm. for cover, but for the other parts I need to skive/split to 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 mm depends on which parts.
@@craftsmangus You use here alran leather. I just finished a female wallet with alran sully goat leather(inner parts). when I cut them, Looks like I don't need burnishing at all. First time I use alran sully goat leather. Medium farm leather
@Bazlur Rahman & @Heather Zhang I mean Goat alran as it is vegtanned goat skin. If use other leather make sure its stiff. Because if not veg or stiff, need to work a lot with stiffener/hardener.
I use Camoga spliting leather machine as there is leather service around my workshop. You can see in my EP41 ruclips.net/video/B7dUHAKW1A8/видео.html in mins of 1:59
