I feel like it's a bit of a failure of the school to not have basic martial arts classes. It would be useful to everyone, and one of the most used parts of the body is the legs!
@@2ndlegend125 I thought about that when Uraraka had her internship with Gunhead. Like, yeah... basic combat, self-defence, and how to take down armed indivuals efficiently sounds like it should be on the curriculum for what is basically a military-prep highschool.
Yeah I can´t help but cringe at this part of the writing every time. Every viewer is like "duh you can use your entire body" waaaay before this. Meanwhile the story makes it out to be some crazy breakthrough. If they at least had some characters commenting on Deku being dumb for laser focusing on his arms it would be one thing. Instead everybody is surprised and hyped about him doing something so obvious.
I mean Deku's realization makes sense, his idea of what the symbol of peace is is a bare knuckle heavy bruiser, All Might was fast but he wasnt very mobile, prefering to tank and block big hits like a wall, Deku is more focused and precise in a fight, and also his physical build, while certainly strong, favors dexterous, quick movements and dodging
It’s like if you were passed down Superman’s powers; it’s not like he can’t , but it’s weird to think of him kicking, so it’s easy to think that’s all you can do.
Hatsume is different from the grape kid Grape kid is creepy cause he is a pervert Hatsume is just genuinely clueless when it comes to stuff like these...She just doesn't know touching people without their permission is wrong and creepy.. They have completely two different intentions and that makes a huge difference
@@istvanpalanki5316 it might change the punishment, tho. Yeah, sure, it's wrong, but if intent clearly wasn't there it probably could be dropped and changed to something that warrants with a fine or community works. When on the opposite you can get a prison sentence.
She touches someone like one would touch a tool. You get a feel for it and the shape, she does the same. That being said she def gotta learn the difference lmao.
I do remember this being memed cause Deku forgot he had legs to use, but it's still a nice moment. Plus the costume upgrade looks so dope. Thanks for the reaction.
Something I really appreciate is that mha has two male charactersnow that focus on kicks for their fighting style. Normally it's the girls that kick so there's a reason to focus on their legs. It's a small thing really, but it's something else this show does that's a bit different. Also, in a series where the Terrible Diaper Child exists, the concern over Hajime it's totally valid. Fortunately she's harmless, just overenthusiastic and had no concept of personal space. Mineta needs to be on a list.
It would be a worthy thing in the end. She is mad creative and intelligent. Not to make spoilers but she really comes with lots more things later on (You probably know like most watching are alredy far ahead of Alicia)
In fairness, its not realizing he has legs. He used his legs a lot, and even in the camp battle, he tells Kota specifically that he spared his legs for running after the fight. His realization here is that he doesn't have to limit his attacks to punches, which he ended up doing because he was trying to replicate All Might
Hatsume it's just a clueless baby who doesn't know people get weirded out by personal space lol Like the professor said: "She's self-centered to a fault"
I love mei. She's quite possibly my favorite side character. Not sure if you noticed or not, but she isn't being creepy like mineta. She's simply a quirky person
19:50 I love your observation here, but I've also made an observation of "never forget where you came from." This was a big thing with all might and his predecessor, as shown when all might fought afo. I feel like by keeping the costume mostly the same, that's how "never forget where you came from." Kind of like his "starting line", similar to how other characters had episode titles with "starting line"
So Deku's solution to not immitate All Might was to imitate Iida instead... talk about being innovative. Well, I suppose it does mean he has a bigger horizon from imitating three people (remember he already copied some of Bakugo's moves) than from just two, so it kind of works, but it's not really what All Might meant. ^^
Looking back at this just now I realized something I never noticed, at 19:03 Kaminari is asking out Hastume our like he did with Uraraka on the first day of school and the vine-girl during the tournament. You can tell by how exasperated Kirishima is, and how Hatume is just shaking her head 'No', it clearly wasn't about gear or costumes or she would have been excited, but she's just casually rejecting him while still having an open-mouth smile.
I said during the festival arc that you would get another Izuku/Uraraka/Mei moment with jealous Uraraka, here it is. Well at least we all know that Izuku doesn't see Mei that way. We are on our way to the provisional license exam, it will soon be time to "POWERRRR" up.
I know Aliciaxlife probably will not see this comment but I would recommend watching the ending for this one very soon because it doesn't really contain any spoilers and the music in this is still to this day my favorite.
Actually, yeah. lol Even if the intent may not to be creepy or pervy with Mei (we don't know, cuz we ain't in her head), it's still not good to touch someone without their permission or ignore personal boundaries, etc. Whether or not people want to attribute it to autism and it makes her relatable, it can also be a quirk (hah) that people don't like about her. *nod nod* On that note, I wanna say, I didn't like anything about Mineta's char until literally [redacted], so you're cool. lol
That time when Deku remembers that legs are actually an option. For a smart kid, he's dumb. I totally get it though because that's kind of how I am. lol
Deku keeping his suit basically the same because of his mom is almost exactly the same as Superman's answer when people ask him why his suit looks kinda goofy. Because his mom made it.
Deku can never be as Chad like a JoJo character Deku took 3 season to remember that he have legs While the joestar secret technique is to use em legs and hotdog out of there
I passed my DC Algebra final because I literally just plugged the answers into the equation and saw which one worked. I didn't have to do any algebra, just plug in answers.

12:30 pfft yeah she just landed on him-- ohH Izuku's birthday is in less than a week! 12:46 Midoriya-riya Izuku HA 17:10 literally just eyeball like -- stand em next to each other
I crack up every time they show Aizawa getting miffed about All Might's complete lack of teaching qualifications 😂 Aizawa obviously takes his job super seriously, but All Might only got this position because he's a famous hero. The guy has no idea what he's doing when teaching
Time to cook up (or practice) attacks truly worthy of names! They tried security through obscurity to train, and since that died a violent death, it's back to on campus training. Making two things at once is kind of weak for an ultimate move. Now if she popped out automatic or heavy weapons, that would bee an ultimate move on over half the population. Nah, there'd be angry screaming if it was Bakugo. She's not trying to be lewd. She's just a seemingly untreated neurodivergent teen who doesn't seem to understand boundaries and personal space. No, this is the writers shoving in excess horny that is unwanted. Which is why she's not wearing proper protection for an explosion that blew heavy steel doors off their hinges. So it's still annoying, just not AS annoying as Mineta.... but that scene was still grossly excessive and teenage cheesecake combined with unwelcome touching does not enhance the story. And if this is because she's untreated/undiagnosed, someone needs to work with her and potentially get her on prescription drugs. I've seen Power Armor control/prediction failure happen before. It's nasty. Worst case I heard about was pre Spartan II MJOLNIR power armor from Halo. The worst part, the action that spiraled into a grisly fatality was trying to pick up a coffee cup. I mean, All Might is always throwing punches, so it didn't occur to him, but others in your comments have pointed out that there really should be basic martial arts instruction provided to all students so you don't have Dekus and Kirishimas just throwing Haymakers. Yeah, I get it. Even if she has severe autism, ADHD, or some PDDNOS, there are ways we adapt. The disorder is an explanation, but never an excuse. Never being diagnosed and treated would be a pretty good exception to have an excuse though. However, if she works on that, she will go very far. THAT IS JUST AN EXPLOSIVE BARREL! See what I mean? Kirishima needs to work his legs and attack with them too. It's not just Deku who only thinking in fists with no kicks. Think about some of of the most iconic superheroes. They don't go too far with details on the looks that last. Too many colors and features just make a design too busy if they're not actual feature systems. I'd say Shadow Arrmor. Using his hands to shape the explosion like that is cool and scary. Toshinori is definitely going to have to get used to not being able to save people. Even being saved by his own students. Those shoes could do with white and green to avoid adding too much visual detail, but they're overall nice.
Ah the legs episode, honestly I remember people arguing how obvious it was, that he should have though of it sooner since he can use OFA in his whole body and simply focus on limbs
people always rag on deku for not realizing he has legs but to be fair if I met Goku and he told me he could teach me how to be a DBZ character i’d probably spend way to long trying to learn the Kamehameha even if it was destroying my body and clearly not working out for me lol and that’s why I love this moment.
Ah yes, Midoriya's infamous "I HAVE LEGS" moment.
Well... if he'd noticed any earlier, he'd probably have broken them too... more.

well either that or she knows and doesn't care. her intentions are unlikely to be pervy anyway.
