- Follow along as I document the building of 2 of my Holy Grail Oldschool Freestyle bikes; the Redline RL 20 and the Redline RL 20ii. Episodes will include the purchasing of frame sets and parts, powder coating, building and showing both of these unbelievable bikes.

Good to see somebody out there is doing old school BMX restoration and appreciating these old bikes in a vlog style. We’re two different ages and from two different eras, but have the same love. I’ve got a 98 Diamondback Viper I’ve been sitting on for 5-6 years, and I’m finally about to embark on a restoration of sorts...with the small exception of the fact that I think I’ll cross brands for parts, and build something more street oriented with all the parts that I wanted as a teen but couldn’t acquire.

It would be so awesome if they bring back the redline 22's again just like it was in late 80's redline 22 is everybody's favorite redline.

@@mikecooley3361 I Called Redline up multiple time's for reqesting the replica of RL20ii and the1986 prostyler too.I've working on project bmx flatland bike for four months now it's 2017 hutch trick star.Im making a video on it soon.

I have the same bike. I remember picking specing it out qi the salesman, Flight Cranks, one-piece were standard. Hutch pedals. Peregrine 48s. Black bars instead of chrome, mistake. I need a new pair of Forklifters. I've railed at Redline for not reproducing their classics like other manufacturers.

Mike Carmody his bike is full on Redline, forklifter bars and neck, Flight cranks, HP 48s. He earned the money and bought it back in the 80s. I will try and get some photos but I've alerted him to your channel, maybe he will share

if u need those I know for a fact they're hard to find.
I owned one in the early 2000s Mine was an 89 version and someone along the way had "crackle" painted it. It was black crackle over grey. I owned it for 4 or 5 years and never really rode it.. one winter I was hard up for $$ and sold it on ebay for $400 if I remember correctly. I wanted one since 1988 finally found a 100% stock (outside of ugly paint) in the early 2000s.. then sold it. And here I am 17-18 years later kicking myself in the ass for letting that piece of freestyle history go. plum dumb.
