I have the lower bars on my 2018. Last year on a trip a strong wind gust up in the mountains in the USA blew my bike over off of the side stand. It completely protected my bike. The RH pannier was bent in a bit and just some scratches to the crash bars. When I got home from the trip to Canada I sanded down the scratches and put three coats of satin black spray paint on them. You cannot tell it ever went over. The bars held up great and did not bend at all even though the bike was loaded heavily.

I agree with you 100%. I have had the lowers since 2013, decided to add the upper to add a couple new lights and a bit more protection, I used those twisty raps from the handlebars to hold it in place for a single person install. 45 mm screws are a necessity to follow the instructions as you can leave the screws a bit loose unlike the supplied 40 mm. The only negative to the 45 mm is they will extend past the clamp. After I got them all in, I removed the screws put on a nut to desired length and ground them to that length, removed the nut and reinstalled one screw at a time. Way too hard in my opinion.

I have lower one on my S10 dropped on both sides already :)) no problem at all just need to repaint the bar with the can . Also get few plastic sliders from ebay and mount in on top bar.
Congratulations !!! I only have the lower Altrider Crash Bar installed on my Super Tenere and they are of enormous quality ...The entire complete set looks excellent!

Thanks for that. I have actually sold that bike now. I’ve moved to a BMW R1250 GSA it handles the corrugations really well. I found the Super 10 beautiful on road but not as good off road.

Yeah I bought a Tenere and loved it. Two up was not the most comfortable bike though, we tried the GSA R1250 and the rest is history. I haven’t made any more videos because there is a million of them on RUclips.
