Well I've made my way back to The Dooo and there are many things that you could say about this musician... but we're going to say one.....
    hes amazing.
I really love the vibe and the humour that this guy has going on. What a killer amount of talent and work ethic all in one that really makes you want to invest in what he's doing. Well done, Eric. Well done.
    Sending love,

@@SpencerFoust So if I've been playing the piano for 10 years and suddenly felt the urge to invest some time to play guitar am I now a guitarist or am I a retired pianist?
I honestly believe the instrument I've put most time and effort in is my main instrument, all others are paths I explored on the side.
Once you established years of muscle memory and learned an instrument to its core It'll be your instrument it's nearly impossible to forget how to learn said instrument even if you tried to.

@@Jeahy. I play a little bit of piano. Of course I’m not as good as I am at guitar, but I really do like playing it since it’s so versatile to write songs with. There are several shorter vids of TheDooo, one a recently released song that was a collaboration between himself and two other RUclipsrs, Gibson and John Silkie. Despite the title, But I Pretend I'm a Beginner (based on one of his popular Omegle video series), it is a serious song that speaks of the challenges and rewards of a content creator. I thought the lyrics were actually pretty good, and reactors especially will be able to relate to them. Surprisingly, TheDooo only adds vocals to this one, along with Gibson. John Silkie does all instruments. You can tell who's singing at the time by watching the cartoon frame. TheDooo is in the middle with the ? on his face, while Gibson is far right. TheDooo adds high, clean vocals with occasional rasp and all the soaring falsetto. Gibson adds some clean vocals and all screamo stuff. The other song I'll recommend is another instrumental by TheDooo, called Ethereal. It has a funny opening that is the introduction of his Hello Kitty guitar. Enjoy!

100% the pure amount of time and effort he has put into it shows and even impresses people who have been doing it longer

@@Volfur2251 I have to say he doesn't impress me as much as he should (?). I mean he's good, but still not very special for a guitar player. Is it maybe just the fact that he makes videos on youtube that people thinks he's so great? Or that he plays fast and with a lot of distortion and reverb?

Yea I was about to say he’s definitely played guitar longer and it was his second instrument he played violin first.

Musicman guitars didn't use flyod rose tremolo, they use their own tremolo system..

I know he wrote this a while back. And I have been playing for decades. Started with piano, then violin, then sax, flute and whatever. This guy is fantastic. He was in his 20s if not still so. From what I get he is chill AF as a person. I can't get close on to main main instrument now (guitar) to him, So I take influence.

His main instrument is guitar he played for about 15 years now.

He's not using a Floyd Rose bridge - this is a floating bridge made by Stirling which has a recessed trem so you can pull up. John Petrucci doesn't use double-locking trems anymore since moving to Music Man. A good set up guitar doesn't need them with locking tuners and the correct tension at the nut.

I guess its a little of both. He's mentioned that he's taken piano lessons early, but guitar is his main, like 17 years or something now

His main instrument is the guitar tho. So it’s the opposite of what you said. Piano is his secondary instrument. He’s just super talented

4:31: what you forgot to point at is that dooo is hybrid picking. hybrid picking is when you have a guitar pick in your picking hand, but you use some other fingers to "pick" those notes or play it in a fingerstyle method.
edit: it seems like he is doing hybrid picking, unless the way he picks threw me off. but it does seem like he is hybrid picking.

I see people commenting about the Crazy Train part, but I'm also pretty sure 5:38 - 5:42 is a homage to the solo of Psychosocial by Slipknot
