I played this game, because of its interesting lore and genre. Also I actually want a RUclipsr who explains the lore of this game, and I'm surprised that you play this game. You're the perfect RUclipsr I'm looking for, for lore summarization.
At first, I thought it was a mystery story about Vertin's mother but I didn't expect there would be a phenomenal disaster and arcanist people. After playing the game, I found myself invested to the fashions from different eras. The characters' clothes reflect the time they came from. I also love how the graphic design has a style of minimalist and retro pop.
Also if you noticed already, I love how it includes real historical figures and inventions throughout history. I love that it also teaches you about historical like Black Thursday.
@@noruwaado_san.hyougen I loved the fashion. I loved how Schneider had a mini dress made of feathers almost resembling the flapper girl costumes from the 1920’s.
I haven't played Reverse 1999 yet but seeing you make a video about it makes me want to play it now, thank you! I'll be waiting for your Genshin 4.2 Lore video soon!
it’s story and voice actors are really good, and it doesn’t take too much effort in the game. u don’t need to grind too much, and since the way that u raise character levels takes so much in-game stamina it’s ok whatever character u use (no regards to the strength). also, u don’t really need to go for a specific team: u can basically grind for any character and they could still fit in ur team (i am from the chinese server lol)
If you like history, yuri, time travel, and the power of friendship, then this lore is for you. I really appreciate the game's way of story telling. I should also add that the antagonist of this game is damn hot. Arcana is top tier waifu XD
It’s an interesting story, but i felt like they didn’t explain it well enough (either that or i wasn’t paying enough attention). Playing through it, it felt like they’re throwing all these important details and elements and not really elaborating much on it until later on. I don’t mind the hands off approach at storytelling, but the early chapters really felt like show and don’t tell or at least tell later. Just my opinion.
Have been playing this game since launch, but I kind of rushed through the story because I wanted to get to the end game quickly and start grinding. Looking forward to you recapping the rest of the acts!
omg you play this game too, i just keep on winning ! and i gotta say i love LOVE vertin so much. hands down one of my fav protagonists in any story-based games i played. Also, i love how not just their outfits and fashion, but also their accents and language actually represents which country they're from. it's so interesting to me!
The game has been great so far fully completed story is generous with rewards and the pity system is pretty good. Increased odds at 60 rolls and guaranteed at 70 rolls
Basically anime dr. Who with a dash of dr. Strange pretty much. Especially with the idea of warping time and magic. The timekeeper you play as also looks like a black butler character. Also I love how majority of the characters are based on historical figures and historical objects. Sputnik, Mesmer, the headless horseman, and there was another character in the game who Carrie’s a old computer that’s based on the inventor of the first Time Machine.
The story has me asking so many questions. Even the nameless cynical detective (???) who talks to you often adds more ambiguity than he does clarity. I can't wait for Ch5.
This is truly a very interesting Game and Story, I wonder how it will develop and i hope you do more Videos about it. …so, what exactly is the Structure of the Story Telling? How is it split up?
I'm still not over about the first few lines after naming youself when the character was literally just Vertin. And the fact that the *Teleport* was the one that's actually speaking
I just recently played this game, and I must say, it’s extremely interesting. The music, characters, illustrations, and story! I’m really enjoying the combat too knowing that the cards are RNG and all. As for the characters, I’m really enjoying their personalities and voices! Really love averting as protagonist, it’s so refreshing 💕
Got interested by the setting, lore and art about the game, plus the gacha rate is forgiving compared to others. Being a dolphin, this makes me happy. And just found out about your channel, thank you for covering the lore.
This lore video was helpful for you to see somethings that you might have missed or didn’t notice in the story you should do more recap lore videos for reverse 1999
I wish someone would just make a video with all the cutscenes/story portions, I am so busy with life that I am playing and quickly earning gems that I feel like I never have the time to enjoy the full story... having it on youtube would be great so I can just consume the story in my own time
I started playing Reverse: 1999 just as 2024 started and I can proudly say that I have two of my already favorite characters X and Horropedia. Horropedia having been portrayed twice. Or maybe three times I'll have to check later. So safe to say I'm already loving the game.
I've never been hyped by the lore of game to a point where I literally write everything on a Word document... I was expecting to play the game for a few days but I just fell in love with it, the atmosphere is just gorgeous. I highly advice the people who haven't played it to give it a try 😁
Regulus actually didnt go to the agreed bookstore, something vertin correctly predicted and just followed the smell of the potion to find her instead. still a great vid. :)
It's a very cozy, interesting, sleeper horror game - and I do like it, but I'm glad for this video because i"m having ahard time keeping up with the story because of the translation. It's not clear if the weird choices are intentional, to convey a sense of weirdness, or just translation errors. I tend to assume translation errors, because the tooltips and explanations for resource gathering have the same issue. LIke, really, the GunMoll (Schneider) calls you 'my lord' in all sorts of grammatically & contextually wrong ways, while if she was saying "Boss" [Chicago/midwest colloquial minor honorific] would fit perfectly in both fixing grammar errors and ideal for the tone of 1929's Chicago.
Omg I love your voice so much. It’s so gentle and attractive! Anyways thanks for explaining this convoluted ass story. Turns out I DO understand it, but was unsure because of how incoherent the story is conveyed at times.
Basically its just like Harry Potter. Arcanists being the wizards and witches. And then Manus Vindictae is the Dark army of Voldemort. Hell they even have the briefcase from the Fantastic beasts.
I was a little bit confused about the storm and time travelling parts like if the storm destroys non-arcana humans, why does the Foundation still exists? Does the Foundation also exist in a bubble like Vertin's suitcase? Thanks for your explanation. Looking forward to more explanation videos about the lore
Yes, it is explained later, but they had something called "white umbrella" that protects them from the storm that is why Vertin told other member to get back to the foundation HQ before the storm come.
I played through this game from launch until now~ I wanted to do the gameplay right away so I am happy you did give a summary of the first few chapters!
Thanks for making this video minsleif I'm really enjoying this game but you explain what's actually happening in the story a lot better than the game does
I've started it and i have to say, I can't put it down as I want to know what happens next!! It does, however, take a while to understand everything, but once you do, it's fine.
Really love this game, been anticipating since the global release trailer, even got a goated account after rerolling, owning A Knight, Sotheby, Voyager, Bkornblume, Tennant, X, and Charlie, I'm saving for both Tooth Fairy and Changeling coming in future updates, I probably have enough time to save for both.
Randomly came across this video. Thanks for explaining what happens in the beginning of the game. Its storytelling is so shit that it seems that I can't get a grasp on what happens without aid from lore CCs. Might check out any future videos on Reverse if you continue making them. 👍
I've been waiting for this. I've played passed this part, but not everything sunk in. On top of that, I certainly am not one for time travel, but this game may prove me wrong.
