Looks nice but, I don’t see any gas piping. Also remember being taught that you should have at least five feet of return duct to help create some static pressure and to also provide personal protection. Are you sure you want to use the garage air for combustion? Would think that fresh air would be better for the unit over the long haul.
job is a poor set up ... no fresh air combustion intake... furnace is over sized for the amount of supply air... I bet it short cycles... pulling paint and garage fumes into the return is sure to corrode components thus voiding any warranty...
Is that an 80 or 90% , what would you recommend if I won’t always have the heater turned on? It could get to freezing temps in the garage and I know some have a drain pipe.
The mini split would have been easier and taken no space for sure but, we wanted the power and fast recovery of the natural gas heating.... they went in there on a 35 degree night and in 10 mins we were able to take off their jackets and get to work.
@@Bajaheat regardless, a 240v window unit would be more efficient. Spend a few bucks and put a sub panel in your garage. Then you can have other 240v equipment such as a welder and air compressor too.
Didn’t see a vent pipe ?
Nice looking deal though

Very cool setup! May do the same in my garage!
Drawing combustion air from a garage? No chance of fumes being drawn into furnace?

Wouldn't a large return grill over the air filter help prevent things from banging into the filter?
How much you spend on the set up,,thanks

Vented with PVC pipe... 90%...
i got quoted 2200 for a reznor..i was thinking about this same thing for a week..and here i am..nice..
Nice looking easy install. Gotta love those easy installs once in a while.
Seems like a mini split would have been better and not used any floor space. Still ,its a neat job.

I don’t have 220 in my garage so a gas furnace is about my only option
@@Bajaheat you're going to need 240v for the condenser.
Jeffrey John window air for ac

Looks like a 1 hr job, atleast the set n coil minus the linesets n outdoor set
Cant beat natural gas for sure. Sounds like Your customer is happy and that's what matters
