That phonecall with Dorothy is one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen. Two people within marriage just trusting each other. Sure, I'm a softie, but whatever....blah :DDDDD
Wow... from incredibly smart sweater wearing author who I loved and was so happy with the amount of money he won... to lady who rushed into a marriage and made me FURIOUS by using 3 lifelines on one question *IN THE WORST POSSIBLE ORDER!!!* what a show...
Amy answered the 64 thousand dollar question fast which was harder yet she stomped on that 16 thousand dollar question by using 3 life lines. The question about heading south to Canada should have been a 2000 dollar question.
@@joeclark1621 It makes sense, she was the fastest by far in her initial fast fingers question, and it, too, was related to actors, just like the 64,000 dollar question.
Man I miss Classic Millionaire Regis was such a Good Host for this Show and sadly we lost him Last Year not to the Covid Virus but I heard he Died of Natural Causes but it's Sad! Who can take over the Helm without him? I never did like Meredith so I don't wanna see her Return!
wish the true classic graphics were ever reused again in any versions of Millionaire around the world, but in the widescreen edition like the UK in around 2000...
I guess people weren’t keen back then to automatically know what a keyboard typing sounds like. Totally second nature for people today and he would have been immediately disqualified for cheating
Worst thing you can do on this show is think out loud and THEN ask the audience. Not only is it going to be entirely unhelpful because the majority will obviously by influenced by what the contestant said and will agree with them, it can even be misleading. This contestant got lucky that it happened to be the right answer (though as I said it ended up being a waste). Should've used a 50/50, at least there would be a chance it would be helpful.
You're the absolute best. WWTBAM was one of my all time favorite game shows when I was a kid. The music was my favorite part surprisingly lol. Odd question, do you have other GSN game shows like Russian Roulette, Lingo, etc? Keep up the great work
Pretty wild that two "educated" people can't figure out Krypton(cryptic) is the probable answer, well I guess she kinda did but no reasoning behind her guess it seems.
I believe this was the start of the mid summer season episodes of 2001 because I know the previous season was the episodes from January through May of 2001 Just like the ones from 2000 January through May was the earliest season episodes and then June through september was the summer season episodes
Holy shit that girl had rocks for brains. I’m not a gambling person either by nature but there’s an analytical element to the situation, I wouldn’t consider it a gamble with the info she gathered. I also can’t believe she used a 50/50 when she had no idea anyway. Squandering all your lifelines was the bigger gamble in that scenario

Another request from me: 1. The full 8/17/2000 episode (Including Nick Meyer's run in which he lose $218,000 on that episode right after he missed the half million dollar question). 2. The full 8/20/2000 episode (Including Jamie Hammond's second half run). and 3. The special 90 minute 9/21/2000 episode of that show. Also, does anybody have Ronald Moya's run on the 8/29/2000 episode of that show? For what I do remember is that he became the first contestant to use all three lifelines right before the $1,000 question in which it was very odd and funny. For what I remember is that on his $300 question he used the asked the audience lifeline to help him identified what fall in love means. Then on his $500 question, he doesn't know what Italics or any other font types mean. So he ended up using the last of his two lifelines: the phone-a-friend first, and the 50-50 last. By the time he answers the $500 question correctly, he has no more lifelines left. He wasn't a very smart contestant on that show but still he does won $1,000 right after he missed the $2,000 question which isn't that bad for him. And I wish that they should bring back the old Who Wants To Be a Millionaire version with Regis Philbin on Game Show Network since they don't have it anymore.
I seem to have the same recollection of the last episode you mentioned… but I don't have any of those shows, sorry. I get requests for the Nick Meyer episode *all the time…* In fact, its probably requested more than any other one that aired. I wish I had that one, and if I ever get it, I'll post it right away, but I don't have it
@@glitchedblood In Tom H's game (also shown in this video), there was actually a better, slower speed difference when he won $32,000 during the 2024 rebroadcast.
Nah, I disagree. Not only does the name of the element Krypton originate from the greek word for "hidden", but also words like Crypt and Cryptic which are pretty commonly used English words.
The Greek word for "hidden" must have been very cryptic to her. I guess a dictionary was as hidden from her as a body in a crypt. "Krypton" would be no more likely to be the answer than "hydrogen" or "scandium" to a xenophobe who fears strangers. ;-)
