When I started out there were mostly really low-grade VSTs that were just a bunch of knobs. Today you have Labs, and Sine, and every company has freebies, like Impact Soundworks and Ample Sound, that are of high quality and Spitfire has repackaged their old originals at a tenth of the price. Oh and don't get me started with the recent explosion of Decent sampler stuff. It's just wonderful! There's never been a better time to produce music.

I checked the website of these instruments. It's incredible. The quality is on the top, even the free instruments are much better than the average payable ones.
I've been thinking about buying Kontakt 7 but for free, wow! This is a no-brainer. The guitars sound good but I just got Ample guitar AGM, a Martin acoustic and it's very realistic. This was a great demo. You're an excellent musician. First time viewer and new sub.
Welcome, and thanks for the kind words. Yes this is such a great gift to be sure. I would say if you had thought about Kontakt, this is a good time as they are doing their 50% off special. The full version will open the door to so many other libraries, free and otherwise, so it is a good investment in the long term. You can get the lower crossgrade price by downloading any FREE Kontakt player library that are available from Fracture Sounds, Project SAM, and Westwood Audio. Take care and stay joyful!
@PraiseTracks Maybe you can help me. I downloaded the free Sine player in cakewalk. If I select an instrument, I can play it on my midi keyboard, Korg m50. But when I change instruments, my korg continues to play the previous instrument even though the Sine player is playing the correct one. I have to delete the Sine player and open it again to use a different instrument. Thanks very much
@abc456f , so when you select a new instrument is it replacing the existing instrument slot or creating a new one beneath it? There also might be something going on with the MIDI CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT. Let me know what else you might be seeing that could help me troubleshoot. I might try to do a basic SINE PLAYER vid. Stay tuned.
The videos are so much more than the instruments, they are about a deeper personal journey for me at times as they take me into so many different places. It gives me an opportunity to share my heart while showcasing these amazing tools. It blesses me that you were touched by the video, it makes taking these Joyful Journeys so much more meaningful for me. I hope to see you again soon. Joyfully!

I am wondering how do you have the drums split in the keyboard, im trying to figure out how to make a drumkit with the dynamo drum pack on sine factory
My pleasure. I am so glad that companies are providing these free instruments. The new Roads electric piano collection was just released and it has some fun potential. Thanks so much for watching. Joyfully! 🎹
Fantastic video...thank you! But I'm not seeing how to create the articulations or how to store them once created. Especially in regards to drums and percussion, I'm still clueless as to how to assign the instruments to various keys. I went to your channel to see if you had a tutorial on this (also subscribed!) but I'm not seeing anything. Can you help?
MaryAnn, thank you so much for your kind support. I will see what I can do to provide a little more help in understanding this particular workflow. Stay tuned! Joyfully yours!
MaryAnn, So I had forgotten how I actually did this originally, but I just tried recreating a basic Kit using the SINAE Factory Gearbox and Dynamo Percussion. If you have those two Sine Factory titles installed, you can download this SINE Player Preset. You should see a small FLOPPY DISC ICON near the UPPER RIGHT CORNER of the SINE Player GUI. Click that and it should give you the option to LOAD. Download this file: bit.ly/3YgNErw Browse to where you have downloaded and extracted the file and after loading you should see a basic layout of the kit pieces. I had to make some choices to substitute Toms and cymbals, but this should give you an idea. I hope it helps. I will try and decipher what I had originally put together and see if I can't make that available in the future. Thanks again for the kind support.
@maryannfarleymusic my pleasure. Looking back I think I just had them loaded up without doing too much altering the position as it was the first time doing it. The key is to make sure that all of the parts are on the same MIDI channel so they will play together like a layered patch. Have fun. 🤩
I just noticed the bass section they included the John Patitucci, Marcus Miller between others famous bass players there. The last company doing that was Roland with the Plugin boards back in the 90s. Thats awesome!!!
John, that is strange as I have been running the Synchron player with Windows 11 for quite some time now. Please let me know what you are experiencing and I will try and be of help. Thanks for watching. Joyfully!

John, one thing I almost forgot to do when first working with the new iLOK protection was ACTIVATE the license for the VSL sounds inside of the iLOK manager. With iLOK VSL allows you to activate to iLOK Cloud or using the USB key if you have one.
@@PraiseTracks I’ve got it going on Windows 11.The problem was my external drive wasn’t formatted properly to NTFS. I just moved the libraries to my C Drive and they are visible now. Thanks 🙏 You are truly blessed!
John, so glad you were able to get things going. I would recommend however, storing your samples on another drive, as it will ultimately help performance. I have all of my content stored on separate drives away from the system drive just in case something happens where I have to restore the system. It can get crazy out there. Joyfully!🎹
Oooo, I just rewatched that section. I might have that articulation map saved somewhere. I will try and locate it or possibly recreate it and make it available for download.
Thank you for the helpful and I'd say even beautiful video. Your playing is just beautiful and I for got I was just watching to find some free toys to play and record with listening to you. I have one question. I did install the player, downloaded the instruments withint the player, and loaded the instruments to the player, but they will not trigger with my MIDI controlerkeyboard. The meters tell me that the track is receiving the midi inputs from the keyboard, and the instruments do make sounds if I click on the virtual keys on the player's interface with the mouse, but it won't play to my MIDI keyboard. Is there something I'm missing? I'm doing this in Reaper.
Loving your guitar riff form Sine Factory. Could you have a look at the amplesound slide lapsteel, I bet you could make that sing. Tricky UI but your talents will be well spent. TIA
Hezikiah, since the SINE Player is a VST plugin you need an appropriate hosting app to use it in. This would include Cubase, Cakewalk by BandLab (what I use and they offer a FREE version at the moment), Ableton, and many others. This would allow you to open up more of a complete workflow with this and other virtual instruments and plugins. Thanks so much for watching and please let me know if you have any additional questions, I would be glad to help. Joyfully, Simeon

Hello Pedro, I am not exactly sure what you might be hearing. I try to never add any additional effects to an instrument I am showcasing unless I specifically mention it. I want to allow you to hear the sound as it would be played out of the box. Could you remember the section of the video where you are hearing extra reverb? Thanks so much for watching. Joyfully yours.
This is a VST plugin for DAW or other standalone virtual instrument hosts, SINE does not have a standalone version, only plugin for now. Thanks for watching.
Can I ask you a question.... just got sine player at first everything worked together with maschine today I wanted to start new project opened up maschine then sine but sine won't play thru maschine by itself it will.... Im Confused and sad 😔 Please help or advise Thank U ("
I am not familiar with how MASCHINE works but I know that SINE is NOT NKS compatible but it does come as a VST. Could you explain a little bit more about how you first started and what DAW are you using with MASCHINE, hopefully I can help point you in the right direction. Thanks for watching. Joyfully! 🎹
Simeon, thanks so much for this very informative tutorial and your fantastic keyboard skills bring such a joy to my heart. I would like to know if it is possible to load the SINE Player into Unify and if yes, what would be the steps to accomplish this as I'm a noob when it comes to the world of DAW'S and Plugins?
Robert, you can absolutely use SINE player inside of Unify, you just need to add it to the plugin list. The SINE player is powerful in its own right as it can be a multitimbral host. This means that you can create a multi in SINE let's say of just strings and load a single instance into Unify. I need to look into using this more, as you can do a lot of things before it gets into Unify which gives you a head start. Thanks so much for your kind support. Joyfully! 🎹
Mike, you can only use it inside of a host program like a DAW as there is no standalone version. Worry for the confusion as I tend to only show the virtual instrument by itself and sometimes you do not see it in the context of running inside of my DAW. Thanks so much for watching.
Hi, what an amazing channel! Maybe you can help me - I installed Sine Piano, but when playing, it's not responsive enough to my playing as with other vst pianos I use (it has low volume response and high volume response, nothing in the middle) - maybe because it's free it doesn't have enough velocities? Do you have another piano plugin to recommend to me (even if not free) that has this true piano sound and similar tone? Thank you!
R.E.L., it might have something to do with the velocity curve adjustment. Also, this piano might not have the number of dynamic layers that would give you more of a range. Embertone has a great sale on their Walker D LITE for $10. Check the link for more info. embertone.com/instruments/concertD.php I will also do some more looking to see what I might be able to find. Thanks so much for watching. Joyfully!🎹
@@PraiseTracks Thank you so much! I bought it, it has a sweet tone, and it's very musical (sounds real), though I feel as if someone put a blanket over it, and I'm looking for a sound that has more presence/fullness. Do you have another piano to recommend to me? For example, I tried Pianoteq, it has more presence but it does not sound as real as Walker. You are familiar with so many libraries and it will help me alot!!
@@PraiseTracks it's interesting, as when I heard it on the demos, I didn't like it so much, but now, after a few days with it, I think it's one of the best! - it has a musical/lovely tone, and it sounds very close to a real piano (more than many other libraries out there). The only thing that bothers me is that it has a lot of reverb. I listened to the full version with all the mics, and the built-in reverb is still there. Do you have any suggestions for me? or maybe another library with a similar sound but with more presence and less reverb?
No need to apologize, this is all part of the journey. Thanks for sharing your experience as it is great feedback that can help others who might be experiencing something similar. That is the power of community. I am so glad you were able to get things sorted. Joyfully!
I should also add, inside of my DAW which currently is Cakewalk by BandLab. It is a VST instrument so any DAW or Host that can load a VST or Audio Unit should be find with the SINE player.
My sustain pedal doesn't work as it's meant to in the Sine player. It works fine in other plugins so it's not my keyboard nor my own ignorance. Is there a setting I have to change to make it work as it is intended? Same for the mod and the pitch wheels. Thank you.
Eric, I think I may have found the answer. When you load a patch, look at the LOWER RIGHT CORNER of the SINE Player interface. There you should see a group of controls called MAIN | RR | Dyn | Env | Leg With the MAIN highlighted you will see a couple of buttons labeled Leg - CC and Sustain Pedal. Make sure you have Sustain Pedal and CC selected so that their labels are WHITE. Give that a try and let me know how it goes.
Not going to comment. Having a nanny screen made me exit the channel. You may want to consider that ordering people around BEFORE THEY EVEN HEAR ONE WORD is ridiculous
Drew, not quite sure what happened but I never want to alienate a viewer and sorry you had a bad experience. Many aspects of RUclips are out of my control but I am doing the best I can with what I have to work with. Again, thanks for your understanding.
Glad you liked the piano, I recorded that for OT at Sunset Sound in LA, same room that Prince used for many of his albums.

I want to allow you to hear the sound as it would be played out of the box. Could you remember the section of the video where you are hearing extra reverb?
Thanks so much for watching. Joyfully yours.
Ciao io ti scrivo da Firenze vorrei sapere se possibile come si sovrappongono strumenti diversi, come si fa tecnicamente Mi chiamo Bernardo
What a sound. This instruments are preinstalled on my Korg Kronos. I think I don*t need this intstruments in addition.
how do you load it with or in a daw?
Joyfully! 🎹
can i use this in my daw or is this only a standalone???

I will also do some more looking to see what I might be able to find.
Heh, whenever I share your vids with someone I always tell them "Check this guy out, he's got golden hands!" true story :P
I stand corrected VSL Synchron does work well with Windows 11.Sorry about the misinformation.
No need to apologize, this is all part of the journey. Thanks for sharing your experience as it is great feedback that can help others who might be experiencing something similar. That is the power of community. I am so glad you were able to get things sorted. Joyfully!
how did you connect the piano to sinefactory??
Through my Windows PC.
There you should see a group of controls called MAIN | RR | Dyn | Env | Leg
With the MAIN highlighted you will see a couple of buttons labeled Leg - CC and Sustain Pedal. Make sure you have Sustain Pedal and CC selected so that their labels are WHITE. Give that a try and let me know how it goes.

Wow Magic.
It worked. Thank you as always. How I completely missed the bottom right corner of the interface is beyond me. lol
sir how do you play so good?
Practice!
haha any instrument you play will sound good. Even if you review a dish, it will feel good.
Oh god, I hope I play like you when i'm your age.
24:55
2:27 😂
Powerful strings, but Sine don`t work on Win7.
jesus, do you compose? is that your stuff? I hope you do.
Didn’t get on with it, I have enough to deal with with 100 kontact, if you buy only orch tools stuff maybe it’s for you.
