I wish I had your talent to see beyond what the item looks like and see all the potential. I go into thrift stores and think everything is ugly or doesn’t have purpose and just walk right out 😞 come thrifting with me!!

What a neat place! I wish we had a place like that. What an outing to have with your dad! My dad passed away 6 1/2 years ago, it's the most awful feeling! 😢 So treasure every moment possible with your parents. BTW Please tell the same to Alex. Your parents seem to be a lovely couple. Carry on the shopping, I'm getting ideas.

Donna Stirling totally agree. My dad passed away suddenly 6 1/2 years ago as well. I'm so sorry for your loss. Only those who have gone through it understand. Happened on 2-22-11. Such shitty numbers. Worst day of my life. Literally felt like I had nothing else to live for. He was such an amazing person and we had the best relationship. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him.
I'm sorry for your loss as well! My dad's was 4/9/11 first funeral/service (since we took him back to his hometown, hence the 2nd funeral/service) was on my mom's Birthday, he was buried on his brother's bday weird coincdence. If you only knew the history with my parents, being divorced I think he was telling my mom, he was sorry.
Anyway Damn Frankie sorry for the interruption, I promise to stay on subject Our dads are probably shaking their heads at us lol!
Donna Stirling sorry Frankie we are going to wrap this up. Wow so many similarities. I Had one funeral for my dad where he lived then a second funeral in my home town. Then a third ceremony purposely on my birthday in April. The third one was no cost and was a military ceremony. Not sure why I kept having services. I guess it kept me busy and delayed facing reality. I always joke and say you would have thought he was Elvis with all the funerals. I guess having it on my birthday in my mind meant he got to spend one final one with me. I don't understand my logic I was out of my mind at that point. Lol
Oh that's exciting! I drive past that building all the time too and never looked into it. I had no idea that's what it was on the inside:) definitely going to have to go there and take a look around.

People who do their homes in the farmhouse look find old wooden ladders and use them for blankets too. GREAT JOB! Going to lowes to get the marble paper been looking all over for it lol. I have chairs like the ones in the beginning..the cream ones.. I bought them at an antique sale for like $18 for the set. Mine are a light green color and I have them with my white and baby blue distressed table. I love them.

can find contact paper or anythinggg on good ol ebay☺️😉so true about poeple passin stuff up because its dark brown or something..if ya like that big ceramic brown owl get him and spray paint it metallic bronze or turquoise😉 thanks for your fun inspiring videos! just dont turn into me 15 years later now havin to declutter all my crap..!! only keep the vintage pieces youre totally in love with so it doesnt get outta control😛😉

Omg your in Michigan too, I've been debating on driving to GrandRapids to check out antique/ thrift stores. I live in Oakland county, so I have to make sure it's worth the drive out there. Please share any specific stores you think are worth visiting!
These stores were definitely worth it for me! I honestly love checking out all the consignment and thrift stores like salvation army, good will, volunteers of america! Plan a day to go, so worth it!! I'll look for some more options too!
