That was a really hard knot to tie but I got there in the end, let’s hope I don’t it correctly 😂😂 now I just need to learn how to distance cast. Thanks for the video 👍😎

As soon as you tied the first Albright, I was like " but that's the wrong way round!!" Although the mainline is doubled, I'd always tie an Albright with the thicker line as the standing loop. The mechanics of the knot mean that version 1 is always gonna be prone to pulling through Cheers.
Hi the issue with the knot slipping could be down to the 10x leader. I use 10 x for leaders on occasion but it will not work with an FG knot ,especially with braid mainline . Have found it is prone to slipping through the knot whereas I have not encountered the same problem with other big brand leaders.
Another fab video Paul thanks for sharing,I use 15Ib mono on my FS for clean beaches and ive always tied the spider hitch knot. I've tied the bimini this way but doing 30 turns the knot doesn't seem big due to the thin mono but still has a bit of spring in it, but I'm going to tie it on my daiwa slosh30 as it has 50Ib mono, thanks again for sharing m8 tight lines 👍🎣🎣🎣
Great video - I always use a quick link , but you tie straight to the lead - was that just to demonstrate? I've always used that knot (tucked blood knot?) but only go back once through the loop - never had a problem but will try a few more times through !
Just to demo end of leader knot I tied it to a trident tackle therma link it's a quick link that attaches to the lead or top of your rig. I just used I tiny shock leader for demo purposes 👍
i think they both have there place the spider hitch is a very strong knot but over very snaggy ground i am not sure i would trust the loop in the middle the bimini is more neater and has a lot more stretch i do use them both the spider hitch is quicker on the beach but there both easy with practice
@@StarfishSeaFishing ah thanks for this i like the idea of that bit of stretch with the bimini,, i have put a spider hitch and a bimini twist on each of my reels to compare against each other but thanks for the video bud,,
You just got to watch that first turn up with the tag end, it doesn't need to be that tight. Many Bimini knots fail at that point. Half hitches are ok but after a couple just do a 4 turn lock knot, bit like a reverse Uni knot if that makes sense. You will be ok because you only fish for bait......haha pullin your leg.
Great video. I have a couple of questions on this knot. This knot to me (my own opinion) seems a bit ‘clunky’ due to having two knots. To me it seems you have two knots running down your rod eyes every retrieve? If there is weed in water would this give more opportunity for weed to attach to line and in two parts? (Whereas a GT, Yukatan, Albright etc will only offer one point, both for rod eyes and catching weed). As I said that’s my view on the knot every time I see it. Just wondered if you’ve found this?
no more than any other shock leader the bimini part is very small it is the stretch and strength of this knot that wins and it is used by many a top angler but that very small grass type weed can be a pain what every knot you use
No not at all you can use other components for the spring part i show in the video you can also use a cascade swivel for that part and the SRT springs can be brought on there own from ebay etc about 100 for £8 ish
@@StarfishSeaFishing thanks for getting back to me 👍 I have a few srt springs in my box and couldn’t find a decent pulley dropper vid using trident tackle
There is absolutely no way that first method will ever work. The know will come undone every single time. The only way is the second way. Not even worth mentioning.
great vid paul well demonstrated maybe a black cloth rather than white will make the line stand out better
no problems dale cheers

Yaaay! By the time I got it I ran out of leader and had to start over....... 🤣

good instructional video bud, how would you rate it against the spider hitch or do they both have there place in your fishing, keith

Hi there, got a wee question, can a pulley dropper rig be made only using trident tackle components?

Good strong knot, but by hell does it collect every single bit of weed in the water!!!
Agree there are better knots for when the weed is about
Very difficult to see what's going on.
