As much as I want E Ryu, I don't have same eagerness to acquire him like I did for Akuma. I don't want to spend any money like you master Johnny.

The Kanji(symbol) on the back of Akuma means Ten(heaven, Sky and Immortality). And on Evil Ryu means Metsu(Destruction).

For fun play who you want, for meta, neither is replacing anyone in the current 1 (25% life loss is big on Evil Ryu) group meta which is used in most cases, pvp, pve, and bosses. I know its probably on your list for the next podcast, i'd like to see if either replaces current dps kings / queens =).The other thing is its just too expensive to get them up. took 80 tickets for 1 Evil Ryu. I'm just out of currency and RL money hehe. keep up the great work!

I'm mostly f2p and I've got a 6 car full faction gear ss+2 viper, the resources required to get evil Ryu to replace her baffles my poor brain. It seems like you're gonna get 1-3 'special' chars per year if you are super smart f2p. Kinda sad rate

So eryu we can say its better at taking out bison or honda, however with the first hit buff and c2, akuma would really pounce on eryu and take him out first right?
Also is Dmg reduction from Viper Buff or Potato stack from hugo get bypass too?

The only issue im finding with ERyu atm with his c3 is timing it so he doesnt get one shot himself. At really high level content when youre fighting teams 30-40% higher in BP he is pretty squishy. The only plus side is if you do lose him your combo set remains.
Ya I figured that may happen to higher end players tbh. I think he will really shine for people early to mid game on bison fights BUT for people like u and I were units get one tapped on stage 40+ I don't think the impact will be seen

Any idea how many copies of evil ryu are needed to neutralise bison in pve chapter 30 and onwards?
Just one copy bro. His c3 needs to trigger and if it kills him then the dmg immunity bypass works
@@PayneBlade Nope, he wont kill him but he does stop his explosion. May bet A+ or S could be wwy more helpful.
The dmg immunity only works if he kills the unit of course with c3. He just needs the lvl 3. Could be rank A or not its just level related

Evil Ryu is the character I wanted since before even playing. The fact he's as good as he is makes it all the more awesome. I just hope he's at least a little effective as even just an A lol. Getting him to S might be reasonable to do, but yeah. Him possibly being a Bison killer at even an A/A+/S would be amazing. He's also technically a Honda killer if he can do enough damage beyond the resist from Honda's Desperation damage immunity.
Ya man he is useful at A because his c3 is what procs to kill bison. He should be golden for a while as long as he can stay alive
@@PayneBlade A's not gonna work after 28 and at least 27. Damage stat would be just too damn low for him to kill but he's really helpful. Got his first copy and tried him against 30-32 stage and man! he's really awesome but I always ended up with time fail coz he cant do much damage. I really enjoyed when he kept decreasing the enemy energy bar and bison away from exploding after Bison c3 unfortunately his stat is not enough to kill him so yeah higher the grades better the result.

If u need a boss unit go akuma still if you need pve and a minor pvp upgrade go e ryu

I don’t have either at SSS but I think E.Ryu would be stronger in bosses. First off his 6 cars do 70% of his atk as true damage per second over 15s - totalling 1050% of his atk as true dmg (note thats its also true dmg therefore ignoring the boss’ defence). Your main reasoning for E.Ryu seemed to be that he needed time for his damage to show, but i think in bosses (especially event ones where they don’t have enough dps to kill your team) he will have the whole 90s to overtake Akuma damage wise. The last thing I’d like to mention is that on one hand Akuma needs to use his skills in order to do damage. However E.Ryu acts like a Gore Magala Ken where he still uses his skills and also allows other fighters in the team to dps. This is just my honest opinion and me theory crafting I could have some flaws to my reasoning since I don’t have either of them at a high tier, just putting my thoughts out there 👍
Edit: the fact that he ignores dmg immunity also would factor in to different bosses depending on their tanking capabilities.
Since he also gives Satsui no Iki to his teammates which ignores defence and shields he also is a strong buffer for dps to the team. He’s basically a Street Viper and a crazy true dmg and dmg immunity ignoring dps at the same time.
I have proof coming that akuma is in fact, better for bosses. I got data from folks and videos on pve, pvp and bosses. Great ideas tho! Love the thought process

If u are progressing through story e Ryu will give u a solution to bison fights and ehonda ones. Akuma won't. If you plan to get higher boss scores eventually then u need akuma with sss+5. Although more units out there are good for bosses like fashion blanka. With this in mind, think about what you need more and go from there

Little different than mhken of course due to mhken having the best passive but yes trigger skills and combos are the same and of course the new bison solution

For Evil ryu, if he attacks the lowest HP unit and most people have bison as their under leveled but highly effective tank ( front line ) , wouldn’t Evil Ryu run to hit bison therefor countering evil ryu hard on a pvp stand point ??? I get your point of view for PVE and how it’s better but for pvp idk bro
He would kill bison instantly if he did cause he bypasses dmg immunity. So that's a good thing
Evil Ryu will bypass Bison's revive and damage immunity, and just flat out kill him, thereby neutralizing everything that makes Bison so powerful. Remember, most of the strength of Bison's kit comes from the fact that he becomes damage immune if he would die, and then heals to 40% - and then immediately triggers a strong AoE. If Evil Ryu hits him with his C3, none of that happens - Bison just dies.
I have a question I know it's kind of early to Figure out. How well do Akuma & Evil Ryu work together? If they work well together. Is it possible, What I like to call The Death Squad M.Bison, Gen, AKUMA, EVIL RYU Could that unit Compliment each other as a team???
They would yes. Either as assist to akuma (evil ryu) or put them together

AoE is area of affect (hitting multiple opponents with a skill), pvp is player vs player. What else was in there haha. Pve is story mode or you vs non players

Oh we just tested and the passive translation is wrong. He actually takes 5% LESS dmg from all elements outside of soul and stacks 10xs so he does 100% soul dmg reduction and 50% all elements. Sorry to say but f Blanka gonna not do much to him

I think evil Ryu is a much better option since he’s beneficial for entire team and you’d rather build him than Akuma right, I mean his entire kit is very interesting and benefits more than himself. Akuma is good. But replaceable to some extent with Cammy and other boss killers 😊
Also whilst you said Akuma is better since it’s an actual skill, I think Evil Ryu is better because you don’t need to press his skill or waste a slot of skill in him, you can just use others and he adds his skills on tip like MH Ken, so you can do Viper C3 and Shoryuken at same time
Just keep in mind tho if u don't have a c3 alive he can't do shoryuken anymore and he is squisher because he loses a ton of hp. So there are many plus and minuses overall

Global awakening is a scam it never gives the rewards
U are doing it wrong lol. It's each unit can only be upgraded to the appropriate rank once. You can't keep using the same unit to rank up. Aka don't do smart awaken and manually do it as the game is preprogrammed to upgrade the same units always

Question that maybe has no relation sorry, did you ever made a video about how to procure the red gear with the right element? I know so far that you can have some in the guild shop but mine has been dead for a while so I don't gain much " guild currency " from it sadly (I just got path of fire unlocked after all this time) and the rate I get those from the idle reward is abysmal.
As a F2P I can't really afford to sink 2-3K diamonds on random chance in the shop sadly, it's already hard to have summon tickets every day. :(
Used the 83 Summon tickets I was able to earn and got him A+. Gonna finish up my Akuma and gradually build E Ryu. Zero rush. It’s a marathon for me not a sprint and for the long term I’m fine with that. Keep up the great work Payne. 2KidsNAWife signing out 🫡
