The way I achieve it is be listening to the track and visualizing the lead melody and singing before I play it. Recording and vocalizing my guitar parts. Then I go back and learn what I though the spirit, vocalized. Get me???? But I would love to be able to just go from my fingers to the get fiddle.
In the green one the peddles remind me of the sperm of?? Oh yeah, slightly scalloped. Whith full sustain functionality.
Always in my prayers brother. Very very nice. 👍 🙏💯

Steve, What’s really amazing about this is that you can be so completely present in the moment instinctually while playing , but then be ruthlessly analytical about what u have done after the performance is done . As a performer , it’s reassuring to me to learn that the inner dialogue you experience regarding your music is at least somewhat similar to what I’m feeling when I enter the creative space. I think we all appreciate your transparency and honesty in these sessions.

Thanks Mr. Vai, you are such an inspiration to me, I play everything from BB King to the Buzzcocks, to Paul Gilbert to Yourself and you add that extra knowledge to these vids, an understanding to how you do what you do, BTW crossroads was how I first knew about you and you blew my mind!!

Thank you so much for sharing your stories about your guitars and the "hospital" story...my wife was also injured by a nurse who should not have been doing the intravenous needle...and has permanent damage to her hand and wrist...scary story and sure makes one more aware of the hardships of the touring musician, not to mention simple tourism! Love you man...look forward to the next Alien Guitar Secrets! 😎🎸🤘

I loved your "yogic" approach to guitar playing! It's true, stay in the moment, live the moment.

Followed you all from Crossroads and David. Thank you for everything. For me you are not like any other guitarist, and very sympatic. Plain a good person with good thoughts. Pedagogic in the way you explain. Agein thank you.

"Hope I enjoyed it? "...Geez Steve..I was absolutely floored, rendered speechless and somewhat frightened. As a musician and a person who is around horses (my wife is horse crazy for many years)...the sounds are frightening real ...and the playing is other wordly good. THANK YOU Steve.

Steve, you recently said that Roy Marchbank was the fastest guitar player you have ever seen. Have you seen him play Paganini and more recently Shawn Lanes solos? His own compositions are astounding too. He also speaks of total relaxation in playing, so in agreement with yourself. You’re both incredible guitarists and great human beings pushing the boundaries of the guitar! Thank you for acknowledging Roy’s virtuosity. It takes a true virtuoso to have the grace and goodness to recognise another. Would love to see you play together.
