Same thing i been thinking about is using hamulus as a guide for a placement, also u can use it to find u greater palatine canal

Why do you need great palatine canal?

I think what he is saying is that you can use the hamulus as a reference point when trying to locate the GP canal. For instance, when administering a as V2 block.
