Gracias anticipadas.

      Tshais-2014 you can start adding around day 7, but add a little bit. Not as much as they would if you were past meta

    I have a pair of lightning maroon clown fish and I have been using the fertility frenzy but they don't even seem to be paired up. Any advice on how to encourage them to spawn??

    So Luis I just ordered my rotifer
    So once’s I get it put them in a bucket then add clean salt water right what’s salinity u recommend and then once’s I put them in bucket starts feed them with phytoplankton correct I had my first batch and they all die due to the facts that I left light directly to them and then at night turn off plus no live food

    Hey Luis I have a few questions that I hope you can help me answer. Do I need a light for the Rotifer culture? I have them in a "closet" type of room where there are no windows or light coming in. If so, for how long should the light be on? One more thing, how green should the water look? Do I use the same technique you use for the hatchlings (not able to see the bottom of the bucket)? And lastly, how do I know if my rotifers are alive? I got a culture today from my LFS but it was stored in the fridge for two days and after I added them to the bucket some of them look like are stuck in the bottom. Is that normal?
    Thanks and wish me luck!

    • @TheAqualogy
      @TheAqualogy  7 лет назад +3

      AcuaTV no, you don't need a light. I have it in a stand that gets almost no light. As far as your other question, yeah, I get a nice green where you don't see the bottom. Like the color of a lime. Also, you should be able to put your rotifers in a clear container and put them under a light and see them.if you dont see a lot of rotifers, then it might not be a good culture. My cultures look like it's snowing

    Hi great video, I’ve just started my culture but after 4 /5 days I’ve noticed there’s a lot of dark green gunk in the bottle. Would you totally empty the bottle into a container putting fresh salt water in?

    • @TheAqualogy
      @TheAqualogy  6 лет назад

      neil bryan I like to dump the Rotifers into a new bucket and discard that gunk

    Hey Luis, can you grow the rotifer culture in the fry tank and have the rots reproduce in the tank while the fry eat them?

    • @TheAqualogy
      @TheAqualogy  6 лет назад

      Rapid Reef yes!

    • @TheAqualogy

    After growing plankton rotifers are automatically grown or need to be added ?
    Same as we do in Daphnia culture we make green water and then add daphnia fr rearing is it like that?

    • @TheAqualogy
      @TheAqualogy  7 лет назад +1

      Aquarium Explorer rotifers grow and breed on their own. You'll just have to keep adding phytoplankton or RG complete everyday

    Title says without phytoplankton but unless I missed it you never put in algae grow or anything. You put in phytoplankton. Just wondering if you can just feed rotifers with algae grow.

    • @TheAqualogy
      @TheAqualogy  7 лет назад

      Chris Edge yes you can do it without phytoplankton. My apologizes, I stopped using phytoplankton and now use RG complete by Reeds. You can use 10 ml a day instead a gallon of phytoplankton

      Hola :)
      Con tus rotíferos, ¿en qué nivel salino tienes el cubo?
      ¿Cuántas veces cambias el agua en una semana?
      ¿Está usando Phyto o RG?
      Si está usando Phyto, ¿es super verde o es un color claro?
