Score - *9* YES WILL! FINALLY A DANCE TO TOP THE JIVE, THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. So simple and effective, gorgeous frame and leading, the footwork was lovely and they mostly held body conatct the whole wat through. It was so elegant and refined and such a beautiful tribute to his dad, I love when the celebrities do these personal stroytold heartfelt routines that really mean something to their lives and they use the communication of dance to tell that story it's really really beautiful. A beautiful Waltz, Craig was right it did lack abit of swing and sway but apart from that it was absolutely amazing 🥰. Hopefully this is Will's time to shine again
Yeah quite sweet, usually Will looks like he's either really serious in his face or really focusing . I hope he continues to relax more . As this was probably one of his better performances 👍.
Yesssssss will and nancy!!!!!! He's back!!!!!!!!! Been waiting for this!!!! This was just utter gorgeousness! Romantic, smoother than smooth, elegant. He was a true gent and nancy always the princess! Stunning. 10 for me 🤍
Will and Nancy, thank you. Will, my dad loved to waltz with my mum. They were never happier than when they were on a dance floor, where they met after the war. I sobbed during this video: you became my beloved father, Will, and Nancy my mum. They are long gone, but I realise that, as an adult, I am undone by their absence. Who would have thought an adult could feel orphaned? Bless you, Will and Nancy, for your sensitivity to loss.
Score: *9* This was a way to come back into the compeitition, felt that he was lost in the shuffle in recent weeks but WOW that was incredible. Nice rise and fall moments, lovely pivots and turns, frame was good. I would have like his bottom half to be tucked in and under his back to give a nice elegant core but other than that that was something to watch this week. I definately enjoyed it this week. Nice cherography Nancy!!
Score: 9 Such a lovely tribute! His technique was flawless for the most part! It only lacked swing and sway, like Craig said, but otherwise, his footwork was gorgeous, his frame was fantastic, and he had decent rise and fall! I hope he keeps this up now, because he'll go even further than we thought he would!
Score: 9 I think Will danced this beautifully. It was very emotional and he has a great frame. Nancy’s choreo was great and I really hope he’s in the final.
Score: 9 YESSS! What a nice tribute, and INCREDIBLE DANCE! It had the complete right vibe for an American Smooth, it couldn't have been smoother! The only thing that makes it not perfect is that his frame is still slightly lacking sometimes but I gotta say it was waay better this week! It's just that his left shoulder is sometimes too high but it wasn't the case for the whole dance. Definitely his best dance! So elegant, I LOVED IT!
I mean this nicely. It couldn't *have* been smoother, not "it couldn't of". There is no such phrase in English as "couldn't of". It is "couldn't have". I enjoy reading your takes, but if you're publicly commenting in writing, it helps to be good at the writing not just the judging.
i think, for all the 'sob story' shouts on twitter, at the end of the day this was just a really good waltz. which is incredibly hard to pull off well. and they did it!! beautiful.
I don't watch the main show , what was the 'sob story' ?? . I just enjoy the dances for what they are, that's what it should be about . And Will did a decent job here 👍.
@@gemstar7286 In his VT Will explained that his Dad used to sing this song to his Mum, and that his Dad passed away from Covid early in the pandemic; they couldn't be with him when he died. After the dance, Will and Nancy were both crying, Will could barely talk. To me it was incredibly genuine, he looked totally overwhelmed. But of course, the Twitter brigade shouted 'sob story for scores'. But like I said, it was a very good dance technically, regardless of the emotional aspect to it-- some people just like to complain I guess!
9 FINALLY! I’ve finally given Will a score higher than an 8, and rightly so. The footwork was fantastic, the frame was amazing, the EMOTION was believable! It all came together! But Craig is right, it needed more swing and sway but THAT takes AGES to get right, so sadly I still had to mark him down for that. HIS BEST DANCE THOUGH! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
No it wasn't. When he does waltz basic he consistently kept both heels off the floor. You should Lower the one that you just used ready to move forward on th next step.
The Waltz by Will & Nancy was absolutely beautiful, to that lovely wonderful song - Three Times A Lady which was played when myself and my husband were danced to on our honeymoon. Got my votes 100% Will & Nancy will definitely make it through to Blackpool next Saturday, and also to the final.😀👍👌🌟🤼♂️

Will Mellor and Nancy Xu Next. Sad story aside I loved this dance and I know why I loved this dance. Usually when a couple/paring is dancing depending on the speed of the dance is set to, usually I find when I'm enjoying a dance more, the dance it's self goes quicker and suddenly it's over were as when I'm watching a dance that I dislike it goes on for a very long time. This Dance was so quick that I was sad it was over. Technically for me Will's frame is still a little wooden which needs sorting out.
Yes the storytelling was good. It was not a ten. I dance and when he does waltz basic he consistently kept both heels off the floor. You should Lower the one that you just used ready to move forward on th next step. That is why for me it was an 8.
Now, look how debonaire he looks and how beautiful she looks, especially when they spin around and her dress flairs out. Two men dancing together simply cannot have the same effect, nor two girls.
I thought he'd been undermarked previously but I thought this was overmarked as I found it slightly stiff and unemmotional, (just because it is armistice weekend and he'd lost his dad (haven't most of us lost someone?)). Don't beat up on me... I just didn't feel it.
If Will Mellor danced like that these past weeks, he would be final potential. But no. Where was this when we needed it? Where was this after the Jive? This is the first time his Ballroom dances and heck any of his dances have been as good as his Jive. We know the potential is there, why aren't you bringing it out, Will? We really believed in you. And also... come now... Was this really worth two 10s?
Rude, it's not just about dancing it's about telling your story and life and being able to produce a routine that means something. The viewers can connect with it too. Like Kym and Jayde's American Smooths
This was so beautiful; full of elegance and grace. Well done Will and Nancy 😊
I’m rooting for Will since the beginning. Hope he wins the whole show

Absolutely beautiful!!! I am so glad Will got to do an elegant, beautiful waltz. Moving and expressive.
If it wasn't for the audience clapping, you'd think it's just the two of them in the ballroom, it had such a gorgeous sense of intimacy.
Yeah quite sweet, usually Will looks like he's either really serious in his face or really focusing . I hope he continues to relax more . As this was probably one of his better performances 👍.
He is so boring
Improved what
Just seeing bit and bored me

This dance came at the right time. As he’d plateaued the past few weeks and this was amazing 👏🏻👏🏻
Should have won . He learnt so much and really grew as a dancer
So amazing, love this couple!! I do want them to progress. My favourite couple. xx

I usually get bored watching the waltz, but, that was gorgeous.
Will danced to this song in tribute to his late father who passed away in 2020.
I had a tear watching this. It reminded me of Caroline Flack, Prince Harry and G Richie and Peter Townsend on the crown with Princess Margaret.
so beautifull !...lovely tribute to his dad ;(...r i p ;(
