George Romero...he left such an impact on American culture and the lives of so many fans, including myself. A class act and down-to-earth guy. I am so proud to have met him on two separate occasions. RIP George!
R.I.P. George A. Romero. Not only did he have a huge hand in creating one of the largest horror subgenres, he also in his own way helped with civil rights. Casting an African-American man as a lead back in the 60's was unheard of, but he did it anyways.
@@DropTehBazz Regardless of the intention, the fact that he made the casted a black man as the lead had a huge cultural impact. I will never forget that night, when I saw Night of the Living Dead for the first time, at three in the morning, when I was supposed to sleep to go to school the next day. I've never seen a movie like that. He ignited my love for that genre. He's the reason I'm writting my own movie. I'll include his name in the credits.
R.I.P George. He was always my movie Hero. We share the same birthday 🎂 except that I was born in 1971. I met him at San Diego Comicon back in 2009. I wasn't expecting to meet him. I literally went around a corner and just about walked right into him. My tongue rolled over and played 'dead. LOL. But I bought his autograph and had a brief, but pleasant conversation!. Wish I'd been prepared with some questions 😕. Plus, I heard he was 420-friendly. Wish I'd known that at the time, I was holding. 😆
RIP George Romero not only did he make revolutionary movies but he also was in the call of duty black ops zombies map call of the dead he was a hard boss but he always gave you a reward when you took him out which was a free perk it was amazing fly high up there mate
I do have to say... I knew George Romero before call of the dead, but the character he became in CoD zombies got me more interested in him than I ever would have been
it makes me so sad that some people only know the godfather of thew modern day zombie from cod :( i grew up with his "of the dead" movies, if you havent seen them, watch them immediately
Diary of the Dead. Saw it when I was fourteen and high on ditch weed id just stolen from my now late step father. To this day my favorite found footage style movie of all time.
The actual first movie to inspire modern zombie films was technically not Night Of The Living Dead it was in fact a earlier film that Inspired Romero called The Last Man On Earth starring Vincent Price and the movie was based on the Novel I Am Legend written by Richard Matheson.
If Director George Romero didn't create zombie films, the successor zombie shows/films like Resident Evil, The Walking Dead, Black Summer and others didn't exist.
I mostly had with Stephen King writer and author of books and animes shows and George A Romero had taught me. Yesterday horror icon, and violence and blood and gore.
my question for george romero is why doesnt the government just go nuclear at the first sign of a zombie uprising and end the threat for good, i understand how some military units could get over run easily, but you can't out run a nuke!
No offense time but what's with this 10 questions garbage? When I see an interview, I just want to sit back and learn more and more about the subject, not a series of short clips and blurbs. What, you don't think I have a long enough attention span? Inception made the most money of any movie this summer, people don't mind being intellectually challenged.
All this new Bull is making us sick. "Racial Injustice " here and there and everywhere. So the remarks have to be how great it is an Actor with a certain skin color was chosen. As long as we make us thoughts about that we are in deep trouble. Ever thought that this Bull.... never bothered your minds when you were children ? And what must have had happened then? One day you woke up and couldn't think of anything else but of skin coloros ? Start feeling! Start thinking !
Dawn of the dead was my girlfriend's and I first date movie. We've been married for 35 years.

Did you not watch the video? It was pure chance, no political agenda attached, regardless of the effect it had.
@@DropTehBazz lol strange brew, the libs always to make it about race.

@@ethanphilpot7643 I agree, by chance, we can make a change for good.
RIP George Romero. Day of the Dead was underrated. I like all of them but the music in Day was perfect. That tropical tone.

He will never be forgotten because of his impact on zombies, and because he never dies in cotd

Romero & Rogers working together. 2 people that were influential media figures to me. That is incredible...
I do have to say... I knew George Romero before call of the dead, but the character he became in CoD zombies got me more interested in him than I ever would have been

R.I.P George Romero Call Of The Dead Legend
really wish i could have met the guy
it makes me so sad that some people only know the godfather of thew modern day zombie from cod :(
i grew up with his "of the dead" movies, if you havent seen them, watch them immediately

Diary of the Dead. Saw it when I was fourteen and high on ditch weed id just stolen from my now late step father. To this day my favorite found footage style movie of all time.

I grew up with Romero since I was 4yrs old. I am now in my mid 20's.. I assume you are like 10?
Tombstone Dreams I've been with him since I was 6, now 18. RIP
If Director George Romero didn't create zombie films, the successor zombie shows/films like Resident Evil, The Walking Dead, Black Summer and others didn't exist.
Now, I feel bad every time I kill him in call of the dead
Dont, he would have wanted it that way
I've seen Land Diary and Survival in the movies with my ex we had the theater. We had the place to ourselves in the first matinee. It was cool.
George Romero was such a personable nice guy...
from all accounts super nice guy treated everyone with respect on set. I wish I got to meet him.
Mine would have been what happened to your resident evil film, it was really good and true to the game.
I just got a neotraditional portrait of George Romero on my right shoulder. Couldnt think of a better fixture to begin my cinematic horror sleeve
There is a film out that honors the legacy of Romero!!! NIGHTMARE IN ZOMBIE CITY is playing free on RUclips NOW and all horror fans should watch it!!!
Siz nasıl bu denli iyi işler başarıyorsunuz? Ben kendime güvenesim gelmiyor.
I like to imagine that the themes people infer from films and literature are all completely accidental. It would make me very happy if that was true.
The Doctor in Creepshow who wanted to cut off Jordy Verrilles. Fingers Was George Romero.
Night of the Living Dead is my favorite movie 🍿 hands down
Magnifica entrevista 🧟♀️
in theaters? i've never even heard about it
The army man at the beginning of this vid appears in Diary of the dead, then in Survival of the dead, then dies in land of the dead...
