If you use a keyboard you can click the right arrow key each time you want to add a frame. But there is a setting you will need to change first called "Forward/back buttons: step one frame at a time, instead of to next frame".
Hi Expat, is there a simple way to move a group of frames earlier (or later) in the timeline (ex.: select frames no.12-13-14 and put them before frame no.2)? Thanks :)
Good question. That is one of the limitations of RA. I'm hoping that eventually this feature will be added. In the meantime, I would just use the "move-back-a-frame" button. It is a pain but it works. Or you could try some workaround like duplicating the layer, deleting some frames, moving the remaining frames, adding frames to the original layer, and merging the layers. I don't recommend this unless there are a ton of frames to move. Hope that helps.
Yes you can. Try using the "Edit Multiple" button and then drag the outline to cover the frames needed and hit "Add Drawing" and then "Duplicate After". Hope that helps.
Technically it works but only for certain shots. It will color the background on accident on certain frames so it is not perfect and I don’t actually use it. I may try and make a video on that topic someday when I get back into making videos again :)
@@ExpatAnimator Ipad, I asked some other rough animator users and they suggested creating and importing audio file separately. That works. Just wondering if it could be done in one step.
I actually can't get my iPad to import a .mov file into Rough Animator (it will work on my Mac though). So I use Handbrake to convert the .mov to a .mp4 file, send that to my iPad, and that seems to work. I am actually working on a video about this topic that should go up this week. Thanks for the question.
@@ExpatAnimator Hmmm...the .mov file I imported was quite small, so maybe thats why you can't import? idk. I tried .mov and .mp4 and both work. I have a 2019 iPad Pro. I'll sub to see how your video comes out. Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not really sure why my iPad (basic 8th gen) didn't like the .mov. It kept crashing Rough Animator after importing the file. I don't update my iPad apps as often as I should, maybe that's an issue. I normally use Rough Animator on my Mac, so I probably need more practice using the iPad App. The episode should be up by Wednesday at the latest. And thanks for the sub :)
Thank you this helps
No problem.
Thanks fellah
No problemo
Is there a way to add frames for each layer faster instead of constantly clicking the button manually?😭😭

Muy buen video
Muchas gracias. ¿De donde eres?

Can you copy multiple frames on this app?

@@ExpatAnimator Thank you so much!!! You are a huge help in learning how to use this app ^^
You're welcome! Glad the videos are helpful :)
Could you color the object with the edit multiple where the object in all the layers will be colored in at the same time?

Ooh what is that pencils??
The pencils are just one of the default options that comes on the MacOS color picker.

Trying to add .mov file to rough-animator project, but the audio part does not get included. Is this normal, any suggestions?

Hey, is there a way that I can move multiple frames to a different position on the same project?
Try using the lasso tool together with the "Edit Multiple" button.
