Join us for another Shaylers Fun Fair, We love Haslemere, A small village fair with a fantastic atmosphere and a classic selection of machine and not a Miami in sight! Me, Connor & Si took a good Friday stroll to Surrey to visit this unique ground, We met up with Cooper man too!
Shaylers have such a great vibe, Lovely family & staff, Great rides including the fastest paraglider I've ever seen, PWS Dodgems and a Grass Cutter Twist...Oh, And a Rock-O-Plane (Don't Rock It Si Part 3) I just wanted to enjoy the views.
one of my highlight grounds of the year this is, Just a layer back and chilled atmosphere, Massive thank you to Peter for the FREE tickets, never expected.

I absolutely loved this fair when I went at the weekend, 100% one of the best retro funfairs I’ve ever been too outside of Carters Steam Fair, most of them rides are around 50yrs old and that Paraglider was epic, I got an almost 5min cycle on it and yes I almost felt sick lol
Omg I'm gonna have to watch that again later. Brilliant! And all those pick up trucks.... 😍💕

So Cool to see the Rides I worked on and Operated in the Mid 70s , wow these are well maintained!!! Our rides were all powered by Perkins Diesel engines, 50 cents a go!!
Major Difference was the lighting, LED vs The old round globe lights, my First Job Ever!!!

Stationary Fair, worked there 4 years!

Hi Dave, opened RUclips this morning and this was the first vid it threw at me. Love it mate, bloody brilliant..we had a twister in Weymouth late 80's where jubilee sidings is now. I rode it every opportunity I got cos I loved it. Portland fair 30 years ago had a rockoplane..we used to call it Eggs in Space and I went on once one year with my mum's boyfriend (she and my dad had divorced)..I hated him for taking my mum from my dad and when the ride (rockoplane) started, I puked up all over him 😂 son 1 : boyfriend 0 🤣 one and only time I've ever been on the rockoplane!
Between the Giant dude, Rollie Dude, and the Trooper how can the vibes be Bad.. Looked like a great time with friends

Great vlog as always guys.. don’t think I have been to the Haslemere fair but I was at Petersfield fair on Saturday as it’s my home town, always try to support Burnetts at Easter and also John walls/searle in October too when I can.. the last time I went on the rock o planes was years ago, they are good fun but a bit boring if you don’t rock them lol.. 👍🏻 x

what you call the rock o plane i called them the eggs and if you get the brake on at the right time and hold it on the cage locks and when you come back round to the bottom you can be upside down facing the floor that paraglider is a fantastic look ride also and looks to have a wip on it just past the paybox shame it didnt go reverse aswell i think the last time i went on one was the ate 80's nice to see a old school fair
