For me, my favorite part of the W'adrhun is how they reinterpreted the forces of war, famine, death, and conquest into useful parts of a sustainable, well-rounded society. That said, the dinos are the coolest. Can't wait for that apex predator model!
The W’adrhŭn and Dweghom are my favourites! Your videos made me finally buy the First Blood starters for them, and I can't wait to build and paint them up, see if I can find others in my gaming group who wants to give the game a try.
I seriously like the W’adrhun. Both aesthetically, and lore wise. The colours and “dress code” are so exotic! And i like the symbiotic system they have. Valuing all the different skills of their tribe. Support and Logistics, not just fighting prowess.
I'd been casually following COnquest for a while but I hadnt pulled the trigger until recently and I partially blame you for this :P Sadly the Warband Set was out of stock everywhere but in the end I just purchased all of the individual boxes from a local-ish store that had a sale on, means I dont get the rulebook but it would have been the old version anyway. I mean I was sold when i saw Orcs riding dinosaurs quite frankly but its the lore that made me purchase.
@@the13th the changes with 1.5 are excellent. I have had more fun with their ruleset than I ever did with AoS. The back and forth actions and strategies with your opponent makes the game really solid.
@@tennesseeheckler3014 I find back and forth in games is fast more fun myself. Is there like a token set or anything for the stats you add to groups and stuff?
Excellent job with these narratives. You do an excellent job detailing the high points and really draw the listener into the lore. You have sold me on W’adrhun
I personally love that they made a version of orcs that felt like orcs but weren't written with this condescension toward "less developed" cultures. Taking away that cultural elitism and replacing it with a culture perfectly developed for it's environment, like so many cultures are.
While I really like the W'adrhun, The Spire have really held my interest. Writing about them is fun and I'd be tempted to collect the models, if there were a Conquest scene near me.
Totally agree. The lore in Conquest is what finally sold me on the game. I finally gave up on AoS when my local store could not get me the Maggitkin start collecting box after multiple attempts in a 4 month time period. The last straw was after waiting all that time, GW told them it was finally being shipped, and instead sent the Daemons of Nurgle box instead. All because GW wants people to order direct from their webstore, and not local game stores. I absolutely will not buy direct, because those local stores are what keep the hobby alive.

Balance bound an element to each one to, well, balance them out.
I think the coolest part of the Lore you had presented is the idea that, to these guys, “leadership” means greater service to the tribe or community.

Rulebook is free on the website.

I just picked up their half of the first blood box. I’m super excited to get their Tyrannosaurus rex.
I'm tore between these guys and the Spire. I love the lovecraftian looking bio monsters the Spire have, but dinosaurs!
I love the back story of wadrhun, I just got my single player set and can't wait to play them!! Keep the lore'r coming! A sub from me👍

I wish other paleo-fauna would be theirs to ride too. Giant Bears would fit more the nords though, as with other ice age fauna.

All it takes is getting a friend interested. The 2 player starter set is amazing and will give you a good selection of Spire models.
I bet you like the Weaver Courts too.
@@fumarc4501 I am more a fan of the Directorate, personally.
These guys really remind me of Parshendi - any other Brandon Sanderson fans out there?
Everything about this universe is SO superior to 40K and Warhammer to me.
it's not that hard, current 40k lore is a mess so bad they had to retcon the events of an entire edition (8th)

@@MrYojib that's, by definition, the basis of retconning. Particularly given that they will most likely ignore most of PA.
@@thelordkragan1888 I guess but most of the time it's used when things get removed.
Are there Goblins in this Setting?!?
not yet, who knows what the future will have.
