BBC's Rip Off Britain take a look at how the changes Fantasy Islands site owners have made are having a huge effect on caravan owners. Aired on January 8th 2021.
Most caravan site owners/ companies work in exactly the same way when your caravan is too old buy a new one from us or get off our site. Dictatorship still rules.
Lets be honest if the directors of Fantasy Island could they would get rid of all the caravans/owners and put another rollercoaster or ride there for the public, its where the money is!
I think they are trying to make a *Packaged* style holiday like Butlins or Park Dean resorts do.. Basically they get you to buy a caravans which they manage for you..You receive an income off this.. By doing this the management get their fees (rent) plus additional income from rental.. I knew someone who took this option, Caravan was £30k..The first year received £8k rental fees, However the site charged him additional fees plus rent leaving him with just over £3k..He couldn't use to the van ,only when they said he could,He had to buy their equipment etc..They charged him £30 for a plain white dinner plate, £45 to clean his van, £30 administration on bookings,etc...It's an absolute joke.. Management are making a fortune at other expense...
Oh well it's a caravan and James mellors has big plans for fantasy island and the holiday caravans like they ain't a rip off don't need to cry about it
I've seen a protest happen on Saturdays last season when the caravan owners protested about the new age limit rule being introduced in 2022, but they won't get anywhere though.
Ingoldmells - place where at least two people are stabbed to dead yearly. Another two are killed by drunk drivers during season. Place, where local council do not care to remove sand from the pavement on the beach. Place where the lowest of the low of society comes to drink cheap alcohol before fighting. Think twice before you take your kids to see this horrible dangerous place.

9000 for a caravan and 3k for pitch... i paid 27k for a caravan and pay 3.8k stop moaning

To be fair don't buy cheap caravans, when you buy one check underneath you will look like a banana but works
