They didn't make as big a deal about this as they should have. This was when he won the election. Add 11 from Arizona which you could assume he was going to win, plus the 1 from Maine 2nd District. Gave him 269 with tie going to the House of Representatives (Republican Controlled).
I don't think so on the Maine 2nd. Also, Arizona has only voted democrat once in the last 64 years. Trump had a comfortable lead in the polls there, and was having a good night overall, so you could rightfully assume that Arizona was going his way. From what I saw, he was up in Arizona the entire night. CNN has called states before in the primary for the person who was losing with only a few votes in. Go to the 270 to Win site and take off Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania from Trump. Take off Maine 2nd, and take off Arizona. You get 248 at that point. Then add 11 for Arizona and 10 for Wisconsin and you get 269. Tie goes to the House, which they called for the republicans very early in the night. Then add Maine 2nd in and you get 270 on the dot.

i was born and raised in a small rural town way o/s of a major city. then i have lived in the deep i/s of a few major cities for decades for work. i moved back home to my small town. i now live in the country... nothing but wide open spaces... no neighbors and i retired to farm. i am a farmer raised by a family that were farmers their whole lives. my experience in the big cities was an eye opener. i saw things in the big cities that you're not supposed to see because the things were not supposed to be happening.. crime, muggings, robberies, kids w/guns, cars stripped, hate crimes, entire atm machines stolen by complete removal from the floor, old ladies purses snatched, women beat up and robbed by kids. it goes on and one... even murders close by. when people were born and raised in a big city they know nothing else. big city life is not normal life and these people don't know otherwise. i say this 1stly and i say it understandingly that people have the right to live where they want and to do as they want which i support of course. however, a large part of the problems we have in this country derive from inside of large inner cities all the way down into the thinking such as like rioting and over-all how you treat another person. where i live kids with guns will be found, caught, stopped and brought to justice because there's nowhere to hide from the law and people of this area will not permit this sort of thing to begin with. there is a different thinking here and it's one of treat others as you would like to be treated and law and order (period). all of that is missing from the inner cities. i say the country would be a better place with fewer large big cities and i say that deep inner city life is not what life was intended to be and that the people born and raised there don't know otherwise. it's a geographical / lifestyle mental illness unrealized to themselves. example: rioting (not peaceful demonstrations) in NYC streets and in LA.) children out of public schools and into the streets to demonstrate against the outcome of an election. this is a sick mentality. seeing it in as a resident of middle rural america leads to more republican votes in the coming elections i think? i am glad i am done working in those cities and that i am back home. about the electoral college: it has to do wit all the above i think. otherwise the thinking of the large city populous would control of country (which it wants to do). those ignorant of the electoral college should thank god for it. without the electoral college either the country would be ruined or there would be civil war. one or the other. thanks for letting me bend your ear.

That was one of the most unexpected and most exciting US Election Day/Night for me as a German. I watched the whole night from Europe until 6 am MET and then went to university. Nobody comes close when the Americans start promoting sports events, concerts or even elections. In Germany the elections is something that is perceived as boring without any emotions. I just looked at the result here and that’s it. I guess that speaks for itself.

The republicans hold the senate and gained seats in the house despite the billions of dollars that were funneled into their campaigns. This would be the first time since 1884 if Biden were to win the presidency that a president would take office without a majority senate behind him. That would mean all he could do is twiddle his thumbs in the Oval Office or White House basement all day. Which is a sign a real red wave could be coming in the midterms when the country sees just how useless he is. Than the democrats would really be powerless. If I were a democrat, I would not be celebrating at this election outcome. 😉

That was one of the most unexpected and most exciting US Election Day/Night for me as a German. I watched the whole night from Europe until 6 am MET and then went to university. Nobody comes close when the Americans start promoting sports events, concerts or even elections. In Germany the elections is something that is perceived as boring without any emotions. I just looked at the result here and that’s it. I guess that speaks for itself.
