Bioshock Infinite. I don't normally do two playthroughs at once, but this game has been sitting in my Steam library and dammit all I want to play it. So yeah! Two games at once. Because fuck it. Let's see how this work.
This game, as of right now, is fucking beautiful. I love how alive it all feels, they really put a damn fine amount of polish into this and I'm looking forward to getting further into it. Amazing title so far.

Its depressing and disappointing whats come to light of his actions. But these videos were my childhood and I still rewatch them for comfort. Im just sad that he turned out the way he did.

That awesome moment when Cry realizes how dark and incredibly gory and graphic this game is despite its pastelly, semi-realistic feel. It goes from "Yay! Happy fair and raffle!" to racist crowds and people having their brains gored out of their skulls in literally less than a minute.
That's why its so good 😂

Kana Jyozune You wouldn't think it at all at first but, when you look back at it/play it again, it's pretty apparent. I mean, the first bit of racism that's ever hinted at in game is like 5 seconds before hand when Jeremiah says, "Is that not the prettiest young white girl you've ever seen?".
Ah, the things you did were terrible and you could very well still be terrible. But you were my comfort and as much as I try I can’t stop thinking about you, or the content you brought into my life as I grew up with you. I miss this you, when we were all ignorant to the rumors, and the world was different. I won’t ever stop wishing that you got help and are doing better away from us. second, watching you play this makes me wonder how we don't have a movie version of this yet.
i honestly think a movie would shame this awesome game. There's simply to much information to ever reduce enough for a movie.

You know, I've always wondered why people loved video games so much, they just seemed stupid to me.
Then I found Cry, and he started playing Bioshock Infinite, which I had seen on commercials a few time, and found myself intrigued by it.
I watched all the episodes, except for the final. My sister downloaded the game for me, I started playing, and I was hooked.
Of course it was my very first video game, I knew shit about how to play, I learned throughout the game though. It was amazing. I finished it- after about two weeks, playing two up to three hours almost every day, as I said, it was my first game- and I just stared at the screen, silent, of course I had cried, I'm a wuss.
And I was just shocked, I was Infinitely Bioshocked, and then I understood why people loved video games as much as they did; they were too good to be true.
Being able to escape reality and simply playing something, not caring about the world around you. It was the best experience ever. I loved every second of it.
And then I hear the Baptism Song and just...Damn, I can feel every second of that game again, all the feelings that it brought with it.
I will never forget Bioshock Infinite, and people may say it's overrated, but I think it is worth all the credit it's getting, it is- for me, an amateur and a beginner- exactly as amazing as they say it is.
It was and always will be amazing to me.

I still come back to his content, years when it was simple...rewatching for nostalgia and comfort. I grew up with him being the number one youtuber from me ever since the prop hunt days with pewdiepie and ken and minx and others. Cry has always been my comfort youtuber. Just so sad how he turned out to be, but I always come back to watch his videos. I hope he's doing better. Doesn't have to come back, but just that he's doing better and learn from the mistakes, better mental health...

This playthrough was my fuckin shit during my childhood back in the golden days of RUclips. Quality content from a underrated channel at the time. I felt like i could relate to Cry on so many levels. And i really appritiated his commentary and pacing in the videos. I watched the whole playthrough except the last episode bc i wanted to save up for the game and play it myself because of how emotionally invested i got just by watching Cry play it. In fact, i would argue that Cry enhanced the emotional attachment i had to the in-game characters and world. It was a nice comfort in that period in my life and i think it influenced me in alot of ways. As of the time i'm writing this, i have just found out about the controversy that has disrupted Cry's life and RUclips channel. I've not watched any of his videos since 2019, where i suppose RUclips gradually had stopped pushing his content - and i had subscribed to SO many other channels that the algorythm could only feed me so much of what i'm interested in. I've certainly changed quite abit since i used to watch him daily. However, since i stopped watching him, in the back of my mind i told myself in my mind to go back this playthrough at some point when i needed some comfort and more importantly some good ol' RUclips Nostalgia. Well, suffice it to say i have watched about 3 minutes of the video and ALL THE MEMORIES are just flooding back to me, but it makes me feel both nostalgic yet melancholic. Growing up sucks. And so does reality. Thing is, nothing is as perfect as i once thought. And maybe that goes for many other people. But what i've grown up to learn is how and why one must be able to separate the art from the artist. Which in this case can be extremely hard when you've built as strong a parasocial relationship as i have. But it is possible and nessesary, as the art must triumph over the artist for it to be analyzed and or appritiated. I dread to think about how much a person can fuck up and hurt other people in life, but it should be done, in the appropriate context of communication with the relevant people. In this case, Cry. It would, however, be most appropriate on his video where he apologized and talks about it. Talking about it here adds nothing much to the actual discussion and only serves to derail the artistic intent of this video. I do understand that people - like myself right here, right now - want to freely express how we feel about this video, where the subject of Cry possibly might come up. Many of us grew up with a parasocial bond to him. Which sucks, because back then you didn't nessesarily have to separate the art from the artist due to him being one of the least controversial creators at the time. Cry, if you're somehow reading this; Get help. Take more time offline, learn from your mistakes, if you can and then move on with your life. Hold on and be strong, yet maintain sincerity and self-control whilst remaining very critical of yourself. Actions speak louder than words, so stop arguing with people about it. This playthrough for example, speaks very much for itself. Do the same with your real life. I'm not angry, just sad and dissapointed yet still slightly hopeful that you'll try to make things as right as you can before your time is up. Fuck, man... I love this game and i hope anyone that watches try to have a nostalgic and fun experience...

Damn, I hope Cry has learned from what has happened. Every so often I’ll realize it’s been a minute since I’ve seen one of his playthroughs and how much I miss hearing his voice. I thought about him a lot when TLOU2 came out, and wondered if he played it. I’ve been going through it lately so it’s nice to come back and rewatch these for the nostalgia. Cry was my comfort youtuber, I think I’ll always miss what he used to be.

i recently got this game myself for free on Epic Games and it just took me back to this, the very 1st video i've seen of cry. the rest was history where I spent much of my childhood in high school going home to update myself with my fave youtubers-- pewds, nova, the creatures, bajan canadian, noochm, skydoesmc, basically every popular youtubers there is around 2013. that time was the golden age of youtube imo where things were simpler, no topnotch editing or gameplay just a bunch of people playing games for fun.
i miss it and how i would wish to re-live that moment again. good times indeed

Without a doubt! :) I mean the entire story and all it's plot twists were just so satisfying. The ending was just amazing, I think that's what got me. Where you finally have that sudden realization and then where they begin to explain everything. One of the best, if not, the best story I've ever played :)

Samuel Weinstein Yeah of course! I think Bioshock had a great narrative behind it as well, but I still think Infinite had a slightly better story. The introduction was absolutely amazing in Bioshock, along with the creatures and environment they introduced to us. Though, you can't deny how great the story came together in Infinite :) A lot of things weren't really there in Infinite like the big daddies (the handymen didn't cut it for me) and the combat (great but not as intense as Bioshock). However, I fell in love with Infinite because of how great the story was. Every part of it. From Elizabeth's character to the small instances of subtle symbolism in-game. The ending/ plot twist was just the icing on an already beautiful cake lol both games had just amazing stories, you can really argue for either one. Gotta love em both though :)
Re-watching this entire playlist again, purely because it's some of Cry's best work. There's a reason why he is still relevant in the youtube community. and this is why. One of the best youtubers around.

omonski Okay, just checking :P It means that the Lutece's know that whatever they do, he doesn't row. This is because they are able to see into every universe, so they know that he doesn't help them row. Basically, "He DOESN'T row", means he doesn't row in this universe.

I think what just blew my mind, what the statue of Robert Lutece suddenly becoming Rosalind Lutece at around the 25:45 mark. I never saw that happen in the first two LP's I watched of this game (TehNevs and Jesse Cox first and second respectively) and seeing that was kind of startling.

This is my 5th time watching this exact LP, and I've beaten the game about 6 times myself... This is just one of those games that does not get boring.

25:57 you know those two people, the women and man, I can't exactly remember why they are together, but the statue changes from the man to the woman, Lutece. And also, earlier on, when you have to flip the heads and tails, it's never been tails because Booker has always flipped. It's like a time loop. It makes sense when you learn the whole plot with Elizabeth.

The first play-through I ever watched and a huge part of my childhood was this series. So saddening what happened with Cry. He messed up and deserved to be cancelled, but I hope he got help and is doing well now. Maybe he'll come back one day.
