mike this is so awesome quick question as cant tell on the vid di you let each layer of paint dry before you add the next so when you have done the white and blue base coat do you let that dry before you add the drips and stencils etc cheers and great work
I do let some of the layers dry in between. Especially with stencil work, it's best to let everything dry before applying any stencils. Also with the palette knife layers. I'll let one color dry so that when I go in with the next color using the palette knife, it doesn't blend the colors together.
The canvas is pre-primed with white gesso and then the first thing I did was put a very wet coat of white acrylic paint down to create a water base for the blue that comes next. This is intentionally very wet so that the blue and white/water mix and flow.

What stuff did you put on first?

hey! cool painting! what paint do you use?
I use all acrylic paints and spray paints, mostly Lukas brand or Liquitex basics.
More videos coming?
Next week! I had to take a break from painting but I'm getting back at it and will have new videos soon.
