i'm sure someone in the comments already mentioned this, but they don't have any unit songs in this album. they said it's because they wanted to show 'seventeen's fear' in this album, so they all participated in every song. my favorite is 'don quixote' for sure but 'shadow' always gets me. i heard that don quixote was one of the title song candidate, and i see why. i'm so happy for all these songs, it's surely no skip album, and can't wait for live performances!
Seventeen's full albums are always where they reach the height of their current artistry imo. In this album my faves are Don Quixote, March and Shadow. I really like Ash too because it's such a different sound for them. It makes sense that Vernon was involved in its composition as he's always been the one with the most diverse and unique music taste in the group (and he loves a good autotune). Do check out the lyrics at a later time, Seventeen has very good lyricism and this album supposedly contains a lot of their personal struggles and shadows (which is why they called it Face The Sun, it's supposed to be them confronting this side of themselves)
In the mv they shot the L in Darling so it became Daring !! It was what svt were saying bout this entire album-they want to be bold and ambitious where the lyrics talk bout the stories from their heart. Tbh it’s only unusual for a svt title track but they’ve done these kinds of hype songs in their b-sides…but this album is full of songs that are title track-worthy!! (Well, just like any other svt albums actually lol) Svt’s sooo good for having upbeat songs with sad lyrics ngl ahaha
