I play through a JOYO American Sound pedal, a silver Clon clone and a Strymon Iridium set to the Fender sound. Truth is, this guitar is one of my true favorites - sounding and playing just superbly. Ive had that guitar for a year now. Great guitar. And he's right...it holds tune unbelievably well. The tuners feel cheap , but they work.
I gotta get back to work but I'll tell you, that guitar is nice. Love those dog-ear P-90's and the clear and articulate tone. Of course it helps that Tony Lee Glenn is playing it!!
Just purchased mine. I should receive it by the end of the week. It is the one with the humbuckers, red sunburst, satin finished. Can´t wait to get it. I already had many nice, Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, etc guitars in my life, but for I play this guitar will be a keeper. All the reviews are good. Cheers from Brazil!
I can't tell the difference between the Grote guitar or a Gibson. Name brand guitar is just a name.

It is really ready to play out of the box.Grover keys keep it in tune. Humbucking pick ups. This guitar should cost more than the price .I have owned many expensive guitars and this guitar is just as good as the Expensive ones

What happened to the red one? Also, is there more to the similarity with a Gretsch other than big blocky position markers? The knobs and switch are positioned differently but that's nothing really. Thanks for the work you do and the follow up also but I am still scratching my head wondering why such a 'Beast' would come to be at this price point. Thoughts and Blessings to you and yours.

Definitely needed a setup. I had raised frets. The DR blues strings are stretchy but not for me.
I’m looking to buy one now. Did it need a lot of neck work out of the box?

What is the radius and nut width?
12" radius I believe. One of my friends is currently borrowing this guitar for evaluation, so I can't measure the nut. Seems about the same as my Ibanez AS73.

I’d buy one if it had a different name. I don’t like guardians of the galaxy. Not sure why they would have a guitar named after that tree character.
But think about it- if they get their wood from the other grotes then wouldn’t that be pretty cool!
