John my brain hurts thinking about the different scenarios that could be wrong with the system!!!! Bless you and your patience for dealing with this dilemma!!! Good luck moving forward with it!!!!
@@BoostedMotorsports I don't think anyone is ready for what was found. We had to play detective and check diagrams a few times to make sure what we were seeing was real and I am still dumbfounded by it.
Funny how some stuff on the build look really nice and some look like crappy shortcuts. Especially that shotty wiring. Yikes! Glad you are going through it and doing it right. Not an easy thing to do after it's put together. Great work and video.
Dude, i have loved the demon/super stock wheels since they came out. Deep wheels with sidewall that accents the old school look of the challenger, but they look fire in this 68
Just subscribed brother, I gotta see this monster run on its own power and see the end result, I watch the previous video to this One, this car is a mess no doubt!
I know someone has spent a lot of time and money in this car and they have created a nice vehicle. It looks more like the old muscle car than the new models.
Hmm I disagree...The new charger tail lights resemble the the 69 charger tail lights more. They have that sunglasses shape same as the 69 that run across the back panel. These newer challenger tails are two rectangles.
Just started watching this build short time ago. I own a 69 Camaro restomod, with LSA motor ….another tune and engine work in the works. Labor of love for sure. Charger looks incredible but dear god who did the mechanicals? I live in Illinois and I can get a Hellephant swap in Michigan. I feel like modern motors are pretty much plug and play these days? I don’t know enough to say anything but enough to ask why that tune is that far off…: seems completely unacceptable w/ shoddy work/ wiring and installation just the same!!!
If the car is on E85 it could have degraded the fuel pump idk if the stock hellcat pump it rated for E85. It also looks like the car was tuned in SD and dodge works on neural network
What I don't understand is everybody wants to put a hellcat engine in a car. but did you know back in 1970 a Dodge charger / Daytona ran at Daytona international raceway at 203 miles an hour Richard Petty did that with a modified 426 hemi I think that would be a good challenge to try to beat
I saw an exact same looking car on RUclipsr Josh Laurent channel but they said it’s demon swapped but it’s identical to this one….. is it the same car???🤔
I'm definitely not here to argue but I've read two of your comments so far and both have been completely wrong. When doing a tune you can't just turn everything to zero especially when it's not a standalone system. While performing a compression test it doesn't matter if the plugs are in or out it's reading per cylinder. What difference would it make if you had the plugs in or out on the opposite bank of the cylinder being checked?
You have a 1969 dodge charger. It's not a 1968. Unless whomever built it had taken a 1968 charger and added a 1969-1970 rear tail light panel, 1969-1970 doors and a 1969 grille assembly. There is a real possibility they did that because of those rear tail lights. A 1969-1970 rear valance will fit the new challenger tail lights because they were modeled after the 1969-1970 charger tail lights. The concept came from 1969 chargers and were added to the 1970 charger and challenger. It may be a 1968 in name only but it's visibly a 1969 charger.
Wait until you guys see the next video…you aren’t going to believe what we found wrong on this car 😳🤦♂️
Can’t wait for the next video
E85 maybe?
I can guarantee no one will be able to even get close to guessing the discovery. We could barely believe it ourselves.
Hey post a video on relocate fuse box in engine bay to inside.

E85 tune? I’m excited to see what happens

Been following this build from the start, years ago. Can't wait to see it working properly!
Getting closer and closer but having to correct a lot of previous work
Funny how some stuff on the build look really nice and some look like crappy shortcuts. Especially that shotty wiring. Yikes! Glad you are going through it and doing it right. Not an easy thing to do after it's put together. Great work and video.
Thank God for dudes like this, most shop would have turned down the job...or took the job and had the car for a year.
I really enjoy watching your trouble shooting videos. I learn alot from you.
Thanks brother more on the way 💪
Thanks for progress update, very cool project!

You savaggge!! Gonna be awesome ✊🏽😎✊🏽
Heck yeah 💪💪💪
You're the man John you'll get that car running 💪👍
Frankendodge! 68' was an iconic year for the charger! When you see one you know what to look for . Nice car but don't disrespect the 68'.
Dang John, you are a Bonafide car dr.!! If it aint running call John!! Nice work troubleshooting!
Thanks man!
that front is so badass
Good stuff. Man I Wish that charger was the Channels.
People probably thought they were 1969 Lights because they look similar to the 2015+ challengers, 1968 had the round taillights.
Ke chingon Compa..translation...you bad Mo Fo. ....no one does what you do my friend ...
Keep up the amazing work bro 💯👌
Thanks brother! 💪
@@BoostedMotorsports always 💯

Thanks brother glad you’re enjoying them 💪

This thing would bring some serious dough at barret jackson
Because of the pulsing, I think you need to check it for an enlarged prostrate. If it is enlarged, give it some flomax and it'll be good to go!!!
The original owner on the channel Jaded Brand did awesome job building this car!
Viper for life ❤️
Thanks for the video. Be nice to send a camera down each cylinders ?
thumbs up
great work....unlimited amounts of content with this car LOL
More to come!
I love your videos I never even driven a car yet I can't wait for my license
Great stuff; such a good looking car
You are a beast man !
2015 tail lights were modeled after 69 ones......confusion solved BOOM!
Hmm I disagree...The new charger tail lights resemble the the 69 charger tail lights more. They have that sunglasses shape same as the 69 that run across the back panel. These newer challenger tails are two rectangles.

New sub Can't wait to see this beast ripping
You and me both!
Cool to watch you troubleshoot this monster! Thanks for the video.

3:14 need some helipumps 🫤😶🌫️😂
They have been smoking them tailpipes too much, and someone should tell them to back up a breath in some fresh air . Hahaha J/K all in good fun.

That’s such a cool build. Any news on the SS/T build?
Bad ass!

I think so, they couldn't get it running so they sent it here
@@BubbaB43 ok but that one had demon emblem and demon on the dash… this has hellcat stuff
What’s with the spoiler guards/yellow paint🤦♂️
What happen to them door panels you work fiberglassing for the hellkota? Ready to see that type of art 😈
I hope u see this John I have a question what type of scanner u are using in this video ?
What is that scanner you’re using ?
Damn the patients you have is amazing. I would have had a sledgehammer put to it by now lol
What scanner tool is that??
Sounds like whoever originally put that car together didn't know what they were doing.
Actually you should take all of the plugs out while doing a compression test.

Are you sure this is not a body swap? Have you watched Steve Mirabelli and his Dodge Charger/Daytona body swaps?
Hey brother i got a question so did you purchase that car or your fixing it for someone..?
He's fixing it for another channel
😂 aww shit… think I’ll scroll through the comments from now on during this morning dump

John. Are you gonna sell the Charger once you get it completed?
It's a customers car.
I want to do this to a 70
It's got a 69 grill in it ... that's probably why some people are confused...
Subscribing to stay tuned, these videos are cool and interesting (I don’t know anything about cars)
Car may need e85 maybe
This car is so sexy!!!!
If this a 1968 Charger? Change the grille on the front. Because that's a 1969 Charger grille. SMH. Sighhhhh.
Man that car is a basket case...
Its got a 69 grille..very deceiving
When doing a tune like that you should turn everything to zero...lmfao.
hurry up. lol
