I am so proud of my country South Africa and im a proud South African...Every country has it own problems SA is also not perfect but im proud of the progress we have made , the fighting spirit of South Africans has put us here ...A lot of development is still required in some of the places and with due time it will all come together. South Africans are not in competition with anyone but we compete with ourselves for the betterment of South Africa we want to improve the standard of living of south africans and a functional South Africa🇿🇦...we put our country first because we love it so much....Thank you For the visit Enjoy your stay ❤
1. I take my heart off to the guide. What an informative tour. This guide elevated this episode to a must-view episode. Easily the best episode Tym London has ever uploaded. After viewing you walk away much better educated. 2. When he spoke about the apartheid struggle and resistance I could not help but draw parallels to the Palestinian struggle. The gripes are the same: self-determination, injustice, forced inhumane living conditions, etc. 3. on a lighter note, did anyone notice that the guide resembles Tym London? They could be brothers.
This tour guide is so impressive. He is very intelligent and well-spoken. He could be an anchor man or any other career. May he prosper and receive favor. ❤❤❤
Yoh bro, that guy is an excellent tour guide. They way he thoroughly explained just about everything including the troublesome water situation. Much respect to him & ofcos to you too bro. Thank you so much 👊🏾👌🏾🫡
Thank you for touring Soweto the proper way and getting information from the actual Soweto residents. We are tired of non South Africans masquerading as tour guides in Soweto and misinforming tourists about our beloved township. Big up to the tour guide you made us proud.
I am so emotional today, the images of the event feel so real. These events have marked my life significantly, that is why decided to exile to the UK. I am looking forward to returning back and invest. Long Live South Africa VIVA..
This was very informative btw bruv… I’m South African but there are some things I didn’t know about Soweto that I learned here. Shout out to the tour guide as well, he killed it 💪🏼 keep grinding bro
Keep these authentic videos coming bro❤ We can do with less Northside based videos, most of us don’t relate to that content coz we from the hood but we made it out. You’ll get more views on this one. Westside4Life🤟 Welele🇿🇦🇬🇧
This was very informative. This is the side of SA that we don't get to see. What is the excuse for SA government continuing to let people live like this? They need to sue those mining companies and make them upgrade This community. I won't support SA until ALL communities are included in community development. Share the wealth😂
@@ruqayyahcurtis7504 Bro the government is in the pockets of the foreign companies that own those mines and everything else like farms etc, these owners are all white. There’s an on-going case about implementing a law that compels these mine and farm owners to return the land as it was illegally obtained through apartheid. However, the SA media which is mostly owned by one family and Europe will do anything to demonises or get rid of anyone who seems to be pushing for this process to be sped up. Most black kids don’t know how the SA riches taste but you guys are more than welcome to spread the word to the world because it’s bad and no other country seems to want to assist so far. Watch out for the 29th of May, a new regime might come and they’re very revolutionary. Civil war is not far fetched there because the people will rise if the votes seem to have been rigged, google July 2021 you will see the glimpse of what could happen and it’s not xenophobia. It’s just people standing up against the corporate industry. I personally don’t condone violence but the living conditions there aren’t giving the people any choice. But in general we are humble and nice people as poor as we are, you can imagine if we were living in comfortable conditions. Our country would be one of the best…. To be deleted.
@@ruqayyahcurtis7504 To be honest with you I think the Government doesn’t care about the people, people have given up and made peace with the situation the best way is to individually pull yourself out of the mud. Besides that there are housing development programmes. Whereby new locations are built for people who live in informal settlements however corruption has taken over that as well. It’s either government employees enrich themselves by giving contracts to their friend’s construction companies which means there won’t accountability. Sometimes they sell the title deeps to other people, it’s just weird man them top people have no God. Trying to sue a mining company is almost playing a losing face they can drag the case if they want to and you’ll never keep up financially or no one has tried it idk. All I know is the current president ordered and killed +1000 minim employees for wanting salary increases. Now imagine trying to sue them for donations, could be worse.
I visited a home in tembisa township back in the day. A fellow employee invited me. The family lived a decent life. The father was old style, complaining about his son. Fully retired but still working at the airport, he couldn't stay idle. I realized we are all very similar.
Hi Tyme, KUDOS the best video so far since I become one of your subscriber. Excellent and knowledgeable Tour guide and a very emotional tour. As people of color, we should never forget who we are and where we are coming from. I hope monies made from tourism goes back to help Soweto's neighborhoods. OUT OF NOTHING COMES GREATNESS. GREAT VIDEO. THANK YOU TYME.
Nice one. Just missing a few places. The biggest shopping mall in soweto MAPONYA, see a play in SOWETO THEATRE, ORLANDO TOWERS bungy jumping, make a turn at GOLD REEF CITY theme park and APARTHEID MUSEUM pass by SOCCER CITY/ FNB STADIUM then end your night at KONKA night club 👍
I'm proud of my country, even though people are criticizing our country, we are better than most of African countries, Education is free, health services are free, people are getting grants, old age grand, child support grants, disability grants and 350 for unemployment.
South Africa is a beautiful country and it’s people are good and friendly, I don’t think people talk bad about South Africa, you must understand that in this world there will be people who criticise negatively but it’s not many people who talk bad about South Africa The same with xenophobia, I don’t think South Africans are xenophobic but of course they are a few who hate black foreigners from neighbouring countries and it’s because they are lied to by mostly politicians Otherwise South Africans are very welcoming people and their country is beautiful Challenges are everywhere in this world
I don't want to get into politics or the race game I am over all that. What I will comment on is How Strong South Africans are man I love my Country and my People.. even though we can get under eachothers skin. Il still stand for my people ❤
N today they chase those people that hosted them in their countries during exile, sometimes never feed that hungry Dog out of mercy maybe it just needs energy to attack u ..
Fleeing to a country seeking for safety and running 🏃♂️ to a country to commit crime because people there are nice and humble are completely two different things
@thembindhlovu7234 I from zim based in NZ ,stayed in SA never committed crime, paid tax and even volunteered at a centre for disabled kids. I've met S.Africans from all races in NZ.Did they run away from SA to commit crime
Whats more sad is the fact that if South Africa looks like this, Your country must be really heartbreaking. Kenya, Nigeria, maybe? A painful sight to the eyes .

The first flag it's the Botswana flag and the last one is the Zimbabwe flag.

I will be in Johannesburg next week and would like to use the tour guide. But you didn't leave his information.
The tour company has an Instagram account. @sowetobybike all the information is there
@@tymelondon Thanks. I'll check it.
Tyme you can't ask people to do a performance and not pay 'em!!

Thank you.
Great video❤
Thank you.
Very informative vlog, brother!
I think by districts the tour guide meant townships which makes up SoWeTo. SOWETO being the townships not township.
Authentic!

you should have visited little Africa in Uganda too please come back.
Zimbabwe
Us South Africans we don't hide our country and we don't insult RUclipsrs for show those bad places.
Stop deceiving people, Nelson Mandela is not from Soweto. He is from eastern cape in Qunu near umvezo.
No one said he was from Soweto part of his life was spent living as a resident of Soweto. The guide literally Said.
Wait guys, which part of Soweto is dis one🧐?
The first one you saw the blue & black is Botswana & the last one you saw is Zimbabwe.
And here's me thinking you were wearing a Nando's shirt 😂😂😂😂😂
*BLUE, BLACK & WHITE IS "BOTSWANA FLAG"* 🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼
*THAT LAST FLAG IS A "ZIMBABWE FLAG"* 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
Just coz they got my Kenya flag today I come in peace ❤❤😂😂
Are you from Watford?
Botswana (🇧🇼), Zimbabwean (🇿🇼)

Relax bro we love Kenya, your country is beautiful as well❤ Every batch has its bad apples don’t mind the bs

Our activists had to hide in those countries because you arrested them and handed them back to the apartheid regime.
Nahhh not the Asbestos talk 🤦🏾♂️
Mmmm you sound like kenya people
I'm south African I wouldn't go where he took you
I cannot believe South Africa looks like this in 2024. So sad.
This is Soweto, a township in Johannesburg. It is not the entire South Africa
What country do you live in? I'm pretty sure that they're some terrible undeveloped areas as well.
Which is your country ?
After 30 years democracy? So many countries with over 60 years of independence looks worse than this
Whats more sad is the fact that if South Africa looks like this, Your country must be really heartbreaking. Kenya, Nigeria, maybe? A painful sight to the eyes .
