God really puts things in your face when you need it most I literally did this this morning I didn't blow my account, but I took a unnecessary trade just because I wanted to take a trade smh even though it didn't meet my criteria lesson learned for sure trust the process and everything will come 💯

So glad I saw this .... been at it for 1year .... and I have recently been working on stepping back my approach... went down to micros, using a practice account if I just want to keep trading, lowered my daily loss... Lowered my daily profit target to $200 a day, consistency is more useful to me than taking big risk and paying more for blown accounts. as my skills grow my risk can grow untill then baby steps ... i want to trade with less stress with solid consistent returns

A 50k topstep is 2k max drawdown. In effect 500 would be 25%. ICT possibly just misspoke. As It’s his son’s account. …With futres props It’s safer to break down max drawn down and allow yourself ‘x’ amount of trades. Just trade 1-2 micros at most to start. Build a buffer, watch your trailing drawdown too. That can easily catch you out when in profit and over risk.
….The main speech is very solid advice. It’s worth playing over a few times

A $50 000 prop account is not a $50,000 account. It's a $2,000 account. In fact, not even that. Because of the sliding max drawdown -that goes up but never goes down - you can blow a prop account with less than a $1,000 total drawdown.

All you need is a system that allows you to win at least a $50% win rate. The sweet spot for $50,000 is risking $200. which gives you 10 trades to blow it. 1/2 risk to reward is all you need to make good money from props, especially when you have 3 $50,000 accounts, risking $200 per each with a 1/2 that's 400x3 = $1200. per winning trade. Let's say that out of 10 trades, you lose 5 = -$1000 and win 5 = +$2000 = which equals $1000 in profits.
and remember to maximize your wins by adding to your winners.
In conclusion, all you need is a hall of fame system that gives you the edge.
spend more time in crafting your system and you will see the results. Free sauce right here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I understand what you are saying and the story you are trying to tell this is wrong way to look at it. you are telling him to risk 750$ on a 50k account when he has at max 2000 to 2500 of draw down meaning he will blow the account in 3 or 4 trades. I wouldn't even risk that much on a 150k account. what do you get on 150k account like what 5k of draw down even at 1.5% of 50k you can only lose like 6 or 7 times, and it would be a blown account. Also the negative w/l ratio you are giving him will cause him to lose his account. You are saying risk 750 to make 100. Meaning 7.5 wins to every 1 loss to break even. What I would say is a good way to do it is only risk 1.5% of your max drawdown everyone needs to stop looking at this 50k as the money you have and look at the drawdown and respecting that as what you are allowed to trade. Because that is really all you have before the account goes bye bye. So, in that sense 1.5% of 2500 is 37.50 a day if he is wanting to get 100 a day to make 500 a week. Then you have to look at the space you want to leave for pull back into that ratio. If you smother that trade because you buy 1 mini contract at 12.50 a tick your going to insta exit trades where as if you get 5 mini contracts at 2.50 a tick you have more space and allows your trades to play out. That then changes his W/L ratio chance from 7.5 wins to every 1 loss to break even to 1 win to 3 losses to break even. Also, he won't blow account fast 2500/ 750 = 4 losses and account is blown. 2500/ 37.50 = 67 losses before the account is blown. 4 losses in a row is quite easy to blow an account whereas to 67 losses in a row to blow account is literally impossible to do. Now if he is set on doing a 150k account and has 5k drawdown I would do 1.5% of that = 75$ but I wouldn't go for 100$ I would keep the ratio's the same so I would shoot for like 225$ a day to keep my ratios the same. Like I said I understand what you are trying to present in this story but when you mix account sizes like this, and you use the so-called amount vs the actually amount usable it messes up the story from a logic point and can throw ppl off the wrong direction.
