Good review! I am in the market for something this size. I keep reading reviews for this and other cars in its class and find that they are all over the place. I wish I could hear the truth about reliability and durability of this and other brands.
Just bought that exact same model/color. Another cool thing you didn't mention is the interior ambient lighting where you can change the colors and brightness. Thanks for the review.
For the love of goodness, can we get a test drive where the person doesn't talk through literally the entire drive? Some of us want to just hear the noise inside the cabin and things like the turn signal and engine noises from inside....
I follow up drives from Winding Magazine and The Topher, and watch their night drives too because its important to see what its like to drive the car at night!
I have 2024 taos se awd, does Anyone if you reverse and there is a car coming; can you have the car make a sound? Or when u r parking n when u get too close the car, can you enable a system to make a sound saying it is too close like tiguain se r line? Also my key fob for trunk open doesnt work....i pressed it and isk if it is supposed to open or unlock only
We detest the fact that we must agree with you. VW provides better quality vehicles to everyone except North America. Money grab, yes. Long term plan, they don't have one. Asian car makers are the future.
That dash looks like its from 2012. They need a serious update. No power tailgate even at $34k is abysmal. The engine is incredibly weak and laggy. This is, simply put, a terrible offering from VW and pretty embarrassing. If they update the dash, put a bigger engine in it that actually works in American driving conditions, and give it a power tailgate, then they will have a vehicle they can sell. The 0% 60 month financing says it all.
Just bought the 2024 SEL last week. I agree on the no power tailgate but I personally actually prefer the dash to the large protruding tablet look. The tech is all there and can move around. Even has gesture capability plus audio control. When I’m driving in crazy traffic the knobs on the bottom are more intuitive than scrolling thru screens to adjust climate imo.
My daughter has one. Its a lovely, comfortable car. May not be super quick, but it drives beautifully and has a lot of space for a small sub. Seats are also very comfortable. Very nice car.
I have the ‘2023 TAOS SE - no complaints / love it.

Just bought one today! It's beautiful ❤️

Hey I’m trying to find a car for taller people. I’m between 6’9” and 6’10”. Would I even fit in this? If not what do you recommend?
I'm 6'5", the only smaller SUV like this that I consistently fit in is the Honda CRV. Some Hyundais aren't bad either.
Awesome
If it had a better engine, I'd be all over it.
Never judge a book by its cover. I thought the 2.0T would make the Atlas underpowered and as soon as I drove one I immediately changed my mind
Great packaging but terrible mechanicals.

Is it made in Mexico like the Tiguan? 😂

Sure does! Comes with a bottle of Tequila in the center console. Enjoy amigo!!
Looks like your knees are hitting off the steering wheel
Raise the stirring wheel.

Dear, you are quite obviously not cut out for VW ownership. We are sure that you meant well. Your comments are therefore disregarded.

What? Rude and condescending.@@cgmiddle
Fob unlocks trunk. There’s no automatic opening. As to backing up, it’s not a truck so it won’t beep.
Perfect size, weak engine = no sale
okay go get a v8 then
@@user-re3fd6jl5k Taos is on the list of 15 worst vehicles for CR due to unreliability, and poor driving dynamics. VW should do better.
@@user-re3fd6jl5kYou should test drive it. My Scion xA had more acceleration 😂

I am looking to buy the S trim base model for my wife.. is it worth it? And do you have any regrets?
That’s your opinion bud

You clearly have NO TASTE.
We recommend that all reviewers in North America stop embarrassing yourselves and immediately stop all reviews of ALL VW suvs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
