- The Windows Taskbar has been a pivotal part of Windows since Windows 95. Here's a video showing how the Windows Taskbar has evolved from Windows 95 betas up to Windows 11 22H2.

Win9x was good, WinXP was Great, but Win7 was the pinnacle! Vista was also great but was only a stepping stone to Windows 7 superiority.
Windows 8.x’s taskbars are actually gradients!
1. Set your background colour to black
2. Set your accent colour to a light colour (white for noticeable results)
3. Unlock your taskbar and resize it to the maximum height
4. Look closely at an empty portion of your taskbar, and notice the way the colour gets more opaque when you look from top to bottom.
Windows xp and 7 are the most aesthetic of all, the latter has aero theme which feels nostalgic too.

Actually the 1993 taskbar had less features (where I'm unable to search for a program). The Search From Taskbar was made available in W Vista or 7.

It was an obvious nag to the fact that all Windows taskbars can be moved around the screen for example, but the latest can't. Oh, and wasn't "has more features" but "many which they aren't here anymore"

I have the fully functional XP taskbar on Windows 10 thanks to an app named RetroBar.

In Windows 11 there are still minimalist white icons from Windows 8, such as the sound and WIFI icon, on the other hand the start icons, task view and even the configuration icons are in 3D.
Windows 11's taskbar is a first really beautiful designed. And in principle first good designed windows version in my opinion 🤔

Search is something so stupid. Click on startmenu and start typing. So what the heck do you need an extra search bar for? Just useles.

You forgot about windows Vista build 5259 or 5270 and windows 7 build 7000 and windows 10 build 9841 and 9901 and windows 8.1 beta builds
He didn't show them because there were literally no changes. Windows 8.1 just has the start button nothing else. He didn't "forget" them.

Guys, Windows 8.1 has no *noticeable* changes except the start button. The video is not an exact evolution like the Evolution of Windows video, and it is already 6 minutes long.
Another change in Windows 8.1 is the Show desktop button. The Highlight is thinner for some reason compared to Windows 8

@@Jopekos, kde development is rather slow, i didn't check kde myself for a while and right now using w11 as daily-drive, but i especially want to compare my w11 pure experience with last kde versions since microsoft screwed their ui once again.
My personal complain about kde always was stability, but every time i return to kde it feels always better than before and looking to their last ui changes they finally redesigned what bother me early, so maybe i'll stick longer with it.

I hate the Windows 11 22H2 taskbar compared to 21H2, not because of the widgets panel on the left, because I would disable it, but that bell next to the clock. I don't like it, the design of the System Tray was perfect when the RTM version was released.

Nah. Windows 8.1 Rectify Edition is More Better than Windows 11 22h2. Windows 8.1 Rectify Edition is my Mod that i made and it's Concept was to fix Windows 8's Metro problems. It is also Based on Windows 10 Build 9841 which makes sense

@@denz8ty648 What's make sense about using Go Animate ? Windows 8.1 Rectify Edition don't have Go Animate anyway. I removed it Since Windows 8 2022 Edition Update 1, Windows 8.1 XP Edition Update 2 and On The Future releases. But I still Make Go Animate Content. Welp No More Integrated Go Animate on My Future upcoming releases just it is seperated
@David Anderson The Idea wasn't bad. It is more successful than The Older implementations. My Future releases will be better than the Older ones. What's better. Backporting features from New Releases to Old releases is more cool. Since New features are for New Releases But also for Older ones
