I like them both. Would be nice to see Ruby as a champ in the near future. Jade learned much in her last year but she is still a rookie. Good match btw.

I’m quite surprised that they went with Jade winning, as Britt is already a female heel champion, so I thought they’d go with a face champion here. I also really think Jade wasn’t quite ready to hold gold just yet, especially considering how much Ruby deserved this! Nonetheless, big congrats to Jade!⚡️
I - along with many others - felt like the whole tournament was telegraphed for Jade to win as she's been the most protected act in the company for a while. Ruby deserves more, but I also feel like inaugural champions are generally best booked with a heel because they help elevate more babyfaces who are generally better on the chase than defending. Knowing Thunder Rosa is going to likely be the one to dethrone Britt, it made sense to me. Wish the match was a little better but I feel like both women, despite having a ton of upside, had some awkward synergy in the ring and still need to polish it up a bit.
I guess it makes sense. Talent wise Jade is light years away from being ready for the actual championship. I haven't seen a Jade match yet including this one without multiple mistakes. But she's gut the look that a TBS would like. This will also keep her away from having to challenge for the top belt untill she gets better. @@juelz4516 Probably tried what Beth Phoenix did to Eve Torres and Bayley (the Top Rope Glam Slam). I think she had second thoughts, though it didn't work. Anyways Congrats Jade!
40 second mark - Jade casually slides Ruby's arm out of the way to try and not injure her (Ruby puts it back like an idiot), but damn. That looked smooth, professional, and kind of seamlessly fit her character style of "I'm in control and better than you".
Same but then again Jade winning might be due to Big Swole's tweet basically about people of color not getting the shine about how there's no real diversity. The second half is a dumb statement, because there's definite diversity, but Tony brought up black people specifically and how Big Swole was trash even though he praised her for getting better over time. They both acted immature and Jade winning was probably due to fear of backlash. Jade looks great with the belt, but she's obviously still green in the ring.
Ruby was going to win , watching the entire tournament the story was Ruby won the TBS title by beating the powerhouses (Nyla,Statlander and Jade) and Jade needed more experience but Big Swole comments change that because if Jade didnt win people online will say" see AEW is racist"
@@Syfcobra8549 Honestly, I had no clue who was gonna win this tournament. I figured it would be either Ruby, Thunder Rosa, or Jade winning it. At first I thought it would be Rosa winning it, but if I were the booker I would have had Jade win it. Everyone wanted either Rosa or Ruby to win it so what better way to give a heel heat than to have her beat both of them. Is she a better wrestler? Nope. But I hope she improves in the ring and on the mic. As far as her look she's a 10 out of 10. Reminds me of a female version of Sid Vicious.
Maybe they should have practised their match so it didn't look so bad for a championship match. Jade has potential but is so not even ready for televised matches, let alone a championship reign.
@J Co kris statlander 100% that match she had with britt Baker put her on the map and showed super strengths. Jade is dark or elevation wrestler. She will be good but unlike aew to pull the trigger to quick
Was Paul Wight _ever_ the best wrestler in any of his feuds or championship reigns? I prefer people who get over as high-rate workers, but the Monster/Giant is a part of Pro Wrestling. It might not be my cup of tea, but I _get_ Jade's booking and pace. TBS = "That B!@#$ Show" = "The Big Show." Paul got better with time. Jade will too. She's working with great people and training with great people too!
Meh, it’s the TV title, not the world title. Thunder Rosa lost in the tournament, but I guarantee she gets a shot at the women’s world title before Jade.
The gear!! U see that!! 🔥... I just wanna kiss the hands of the person who made it ... M the happiest person on earth rn ... anyways.. nothing can be better than this ❤
I really like Jade Cargill and glad she's the first TBS Champion. That finish was pretty sloppy but I'll let it slide. I'd actually would like to see her hold both titles. It would be interesting to see a powerhouse like her holding both belts in the women's divison.
This is really sad Ruby deserved it no matter what but am sure she will get her opportunity again n dat wil be legit awesome 🔥🔥❤️❤️ Fantastic show more matches like these n women wrestling will grow to greater heights 🔥🔥❤️❤️
I bet that this booking decision was due to Kahn feeling like a racist cause Swole called him out about not pushing people of color. No one even likes Jade anyways and it’s not cause of her heel persona. She seriously has no wrestling ability and she botched way to much plus her wrestling matches are short.
@@ReelRonDog jade looks like a star. Its about time TK stop pandering to you work rate nerds. Ruby is a nobody and never will be. Jade is marketable and actually looks like a champion. Hell she looks tougher than every male on the roster
Huge congratulations to Jade Cargill for becoming the inaugural TBS Champion and still undefeated! Since her debut over a year ago…A Year ago, she has been very dominate and she is a Force in the Women’s Division.
The crowd is so dead for this. Don't blame them, they're watching someone who can't wrestle working with someone who would be better off working with the Invisible Man.
Absolutely. But first, I reckon Ruby and Jade will feud over the TBS title. The title will legitimise Jade for a time as the unstoppable champion before Ruby become the workhorse champion. Think of it like the reverse of Riho and Nyla Rose.
Aubrey Edwards was the best part of this match. She sold so hard when Jade got kicked in the leg at the beginning of this video and her mannerisms are second to none. 😂 🐐
Yeah refs that do that are lame. It doesn’t help sale anything. You don’t see refs doing that in any other sport it actually makes it look fake when she does it.
I’m glad that Ruby Soho didn’t win the belt. It would’ve felt like she got a shortcut to the front of the line after just joining AEW. Going with Jade is the better choice for the long term. Gives her a shot at being a champ and having her first title run.
Really sloppy from both of them. Note the lack of investment from the crowd. Cargill was really obviously putting herself in position for Soho to put on a move. Should always have been Thunder Rosa and Cargill with Rosa going over.
As if Ruby soso is the female Danielson haha. Jade at least has the excuse of being green why is Ruby so mid level after years of doing the same spots again and again 🤣🤣🤣
With that thinking it would never be someone's time. They need to be champion and show why they are deserving or else they will never get better. For one year she is damn good for very little experience , however the more she is in the ring in these high profile matches with the likes of Rosa, Ruby etc.The better she gets. When Paul Wight won the WCW title his rookie year he was brand newand wasn't ready for some, but guys like Hogan believed in him. Samething with a lot of other now H.O.F stars, and samething with Jade. She has it!
When people say it wasn't Jades time.. who are you to decide? Don't be so judgmental and biased to people who are working hard and improving constantly. There will always be another time for your favourite but don't diminish someone else's accomplishments and work because of it. They were both equally deserving and both worked very hard to get there. You wouldn't want your employer or any one judging you to this extent and being like it wasn't your time to get the raise or promotion. You need to take some time to watch Ethan Page, The Vlog Squad, etc. These people respect each other and their achievements, there's community and respect.. it's exhausting watching fans theorise as if they have any idea about the work put in, as if they could do it better..

The unstoppable force gimmick is used over and over and over again, it's boring and unoriginal. AEW being about stats, it makes sense to give someone a champ run when their walking in the match at 22-0. If you don't give someone with those numbers a champ run then whats the point of having stats

@@fanzinessvlogs7397 seeing how green/new she is, if i was ruby idk if i can trust jade to be able to get up on the rope while already standing on the middle rope while carrying me
@@themikays Seeing that final move, things could have been very bad.
@Cyber: And you saw Ruby nodded at the end.
TK was feeling the pressure lmao
I hate to see bad faith in the comments, yes Jade is green so was The Rock when he won his first Intercontinental title, Jade clearly has a great athletic background and she will get better that’s for sure let’s Uplift there’s no need for hate and negativity. Also best wishes to Fénix he is awesome.
Congrats to Jade. I don’t know what she’s been through on her journey to the belt, but I’m super happy for her and much respect to her for wanting to share that moment with her daughter. You don’t see that a lot but that’s something that will go beyond words for her and her baby girl.
i like jade a lot, she is improving she is putting in work, sure she is no natural genius but she is a very believable champ. The women in AEW are improving so much and its by far not the worse. In year from now if they may have a match again it will be awesome im sure
Improving where she damn near killed ruby off the 2nd rope
Much love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Congrats to Jade Cargill for becoming first TBS Women Champ
You can easily tell that Tony Khan only did this so that people don't destroy him mercilessly on Twitter again after the Big Swole incident.
4:14 _Oh, I’ma do it!_
_Eh, on second thought, maybe next time_ 😆
Lol, that was a kinda obvious "ehh....maybe we shouldn't do it from the top rope"
This was number 1 moment for top moment of the week.
Smart move for Jade to see that climbing the top wasn’t gonna work and just did it from the second. Still made it an awesome move.
Good she’s developing beyond squash matches.
Ruby Soho was great as usual.
👍🏾
Didnt really work from the second either. It’s a terrible move to try from the ropes. Why not just do it on the mat standing it’s still devastating?
@@juelz4516 Probably tried what Beth Phoenix did to Eve Torres and Bayley (the Top Rope Glam Slam). I think she had second thoughts, though it didn't work. Anyways Congrats Jade!
40 second mark - Jade casually slides Ruby's arm out of the way to try and not injure her (Ruby puts it back like an idiot), but damn. That looked smooth, professional, and kind of seamlessly fit her character style of "I'm in control and better than you".
Dang I really thought that Ruby would get that title considering her opponent still needs in-ring work and Britt is a heel champion.
Congrats to Jade. She's the first and it will always be there forever!
@J Co Ruby Soho or Kris Statlander would have been better pics that are ready for a reign.
Hikaru shida my fav wrestler
I'm not surprised that Jade won. This whole tournament was build around her. This was Jade Cargill coming out party. Congratulations
Jade is proving to be such a powerhouse
Here's what upsets me about Jade's win, she's not the best wrestler. We can argue about who is the best but it ain't Jade.
@@ShinyHubCaps she is
Jade Cargill is Sports Entertained.
This is really sad Ruby deserved it no matter what but am sure she will get her opportunity again n dat wil be legit awesome 🔥🔥❤️❤️
Fantastic show more matches like these n women wrestling will grow to greater heights 🔥🔥❤️❤️
@@ReelRonDog What are you talking about? Jade was winning from day one. That was obvious.

Huge congratulations to Jade Cargill for becoming the inaugural TBS Champion and still undefeated! Since her debut over a year ago…A Year ago, she has been very dominate and she is a Force in the Women’s Division.

Even tho the ending was a botch ruby still made it work and it looked pretty brutal.

why cant she wrestle, just asking I barely watch the womens division on AEW

And hopefully Ruby Soho will become World Champion one day

Riho being the champ is an awful idea
Absolutely. But first, I reckon Ruby and Jade will feud over the TBS title.
The title will legitimise Jade for a time as the unstoppable champion before Ruby become the workhorse champion. Think of it like the reverse of Riho and Nyla Rose.
@@redkritter1225 they said RUBI not RIHO
Worst match in a long time. Don't think anyone should be congratulated
Great Match! All three ladies in the ring killed it.
If the ref is the best part of a match, then it’s a serious issue.
I can't believe they didn't use a different camera angle at 4:24
The first Black Woman to win a Championship in AEW. Congrats to Jade! I was cheering for her through out the whole Tournament.
Nyla did it first
don't even think about to start with that...
@@kRazyyyyyyy Take it how you want! Not my problem at all.
Wish jade lots of success...that theme song is a classic already..
I’m glad that Ruby Soho didn’t win the belt. It would’ve felt like she got a shortcut to the front of the line after just joining AEW. Going with Jade is the better choice for the long term. Gives her a shot at being a champ and having her first title run.
Jade only has the title because she is in shape. I'd rather the wrestler with experience win regardless of where she came from before AEW.

Love a good shoulder breaker.
The fact that they allowed a BLACK WOMAN to be the First Champion says alot about AWE
The Storm entrance cool. She had an odd debut but now has made history. Hope she can only get better and AEW and herself make her into a big star.
This was such a terrible match that I can’t get the bad taste out of my mouth. Jade has potential but needs 2 more years to hone her skills.
Facts bra the kick @2:28 she didn’t even fall she just stumbled 😂😂😂 n ruby pushed her down 😂😂😂
Yea u agree. It wasn’t terrible but very botchy. Jade has alot of potential but right now she’s just not a good wrestler

Her baby is so cute!
Really sloppy from both of them. Note the lack of investment from the crowd. Cargill was really obviously putting herself in position for Soho to put on a move. Should always have been Thunder Rosa and Cargill with Rosa going over.
Rosa gonna take win from britt, tbs title is for someone who’s getting ready for top card
You just talking

Ruby Soho as the Inaugural paper champion got it.

We can blame Big Swole for Jade's win.
...and that broke azz power ranger Lio Rush.
Jade is so green that you can film a marvel movie on her
Jade have so much potential! but i think it wasn't her time yet, i hope she gets better in her ring skills, congrats anyway
@@sadiki1980 couldn't agree more. People are too quick to judge based on their biases.

love jade's presence glad she's got a belt
I don't think it's a great idea to have such an unexperienced performer as a champion. It would've been better to keep pushing her as an unstoppable force and give her more time to make progress on her in ring abilities, and also give her more confidence in what she's doing.
The unstoppable force gimmick is used over and over and over again, it's boring and unoriginal. AEW being about stats, it makes sense to give someone a champ run when their walking in the match at 22-0. If you don't give someone with those numbers a champ run then whats the point of having stats
I can't disagree with you, but I am glad Jade won.
