Although the Paranormal quality is a cut above the rest, the most enjoyable has been the CV70’s Precision Bass. There’s a few more Squiers in the pipeline for this year, so maybe my mind will change!
@@cheers-jimi ho damn, I am a beginner and narrowed it down to the 70s j bass and the 54 paranormal and I went with the paranormal, the paranormal is cheaper in the UK for some reason I paid 320 pounds for it which equals 575 aud
Woweeee. That’s a lot of dollarydoos. Smooth and fast necks are great. I wonder if it comes in harde case or a soft case. I’ll keep on rockin Jame. Are you still Rocken?
Awesome review! Awesome bass guitar! AND the pickups are virtually silent when you solo them. With the retro look & tones(s), I'd like to play some early Motown, Beach Boys, 70's soul, 60's pop, etc.! But why the high price tag? I keep seeing it here in America for $399. Do you have an elite model ? Great job bro!
Thank you so much for watching! Yes it appears these are price somewhere between the Squier Classic Vibe and the Fender Player Series. You’re absolutely right, it’s an awesome bass!
I really love the T style control plate but this old school pick guard is not my cup of tea. Finally I ordered a cv60 jazz bass (daphne blue finish) yesterday. I already plan to customize it with better pickups and bridge. But I'll take my time to play it with its original characteristics. I will be sure to give my opinion in the comments, hoping that we can take advantage of yours as well.
You can remove the pickguard, actually looks kinda cool without it. Wood grain seems to be a bit more visible on the butterscotch models, if you gonna remove the pickguard,I I'd go with that colour probably
@@awrebyawe yes, you're right but the screw holes would remain visible. It may seem like an aesthetic whim but if I were to find myself in this case, I would fill the holes then completely redo the finish for a homogeneous result, which would be rather expensive. I opted for a simpler solution: buy a model that I like more.
It's hard to comprehend the price difference between usa/UK prices and nz/auzzie prices, especially for squier/fenders. The 54 jazz is $900aud in nz too.
I really like mine although I have the butterscotch one. I wasn't 100% sure about the scratchplate/pick guard so I removed it and to my eyes it looks much better. I found mine to be very "bassy" but that could be the amp I was using at the rehearsal studio. But I prefer a bassier tone in any case.
I have this exact same color bass, all is great, the only complain here is the bridge saddles screws are low quality , I ended swapping the saddles high mass ones
GREAT TONES...THANKS
Great video mate! Glad to hear you liked it too 😄 what would you say had been your favourite modern Squier so far? 🤔

@@cheers-jimi Nice one! I'm trying to get hold of a 70s Jazz and P right now haha. Looking forward to more!

Boy, that's a pretty bass!
Totally agree! Thanks for watching
Great video! as always entertaining. Have you tried sire basses? The V3’s to be exact. What do you think about them?
I am yet to try a Sire bass, but am very keen to get one on the show. Thanks for watching!

I’m hoping to review the CV60’s Jazz Bass in the coming months. Looking forward to comparing notes!

@@cheers-jimi despite the price, I did just buy one. I agree that the finish is amazing. Up there with the fender players.

They’re a very handsome bass, and I’m keen to see how it would look without the pick guard. Maybe I’ll have to give it a go! Thanks for watching

High mass bridges are one of the best mods for any Squier bass! Thanks for watching.
I bought the butterscotch blond one and put a black Hipshot Kickass bridge on it and strung it w/DR Black Beauties.
Thanks for watching Glen! I bet that sounds and plays awesome.
Nice... but love my CV Jaguar Bass.
They’re both awesome basses, those concentric controls are great! Thanks for watching
900 DOLLARYDOOS?!!
That’s nearly as much as a 6 hour collect call from the States!!
Hahaha the FIRST person to get this reference I put in all of my videos! Thanks for watching
These go for 400 in USA. Electronics are weak
Thanks for watching!
