323 ft/lbs, 5.3 verified to 60 (good set of tires obviously). Reason 9 , it has a pedigree being an Impala SS. Unlike a Kia…..Reason 10, you can have your whole family and a trunk load of shopping and it’s still faster then 90% of the cars on the road….323 lbs of torque.
I've got 2 '06 Impala's, an LS and an SS. There are a few things I'd change. Interior: Change out the nylon seats for the cloth; the nylon seats just amplify the road noise whereas the cloth absorbs it. The leather steering wheel is too thin, the thickness of the foam out of the LS is more comfortable. Swap out the HVAC controls from the zone control to that of the LS; its a finer tuning temperature. Drivetrain: DoD/AFM delete; bought a $200 OBD-II port override which leveled out its performance and now the oil consumption is null. Swap out the 4T65 transmission for the 6T70. But all things considered, I still like the car. To make those modifications would probably run someone around 6K, 4k if you do the work yourself. You'd need the TCU flashed for a V8, since it'd be pulled from a 2012+ Impala. DoD Delete is easy enough if your LS4 doesn't have VVT, if it does- i think that's a new camshaft on top of new lifters, valley cover, and gaskets.
@@keelandarger4866 Your looking at a new TCU flashinb the ecu and needing the harness as well. After all the service being done- your looming to be $3-5k into it. From what I read.
