115-113 Pavlik. It's easy to say "why doesn't boxer X throw more?" unless you've been in there. I found myself spending a lot of time watching judge Patricia Jarman, the lady in the tan jacket directly in the centre of the main shot. She never lost concentration, leaned over to look around the referee or when one fighter blocked her view, and immediately marked the winner of the round without hesitation and handed her card over to the official next to her. That looked proper professional (she also had the fight the same as me, haha!).
Kelly Pavlik definitely looked a little starched and drained more than he did the 1st fight but he looked pretty good overall, and Jermaine Taylor looked to be in Great shape. Two world-class championship caliber fighters and professionals! 🥊🥊
32-0 with 29 ko's is amazing Great to see these fights on U - TUBE so we can watch re watch as much and as often as our heart desires. This Pavilick is just unbelievable I'm lost for words
Emanuel Stewart touched on something most never mention . A well placed jab is designed to camouflage / blind a apponent to see the overhand right or left that is to follow.
It's odd that so many boxing pundits lauded Jermaine Taylor's Jab but it was Kelly Pavlik's Jab that did most of the damage to Taylor out of all punches by both fighters. Great fight! 🥊🥊
True but,Taylor was hoping Kelly would runout of gas . Punching uses up energy so you have to estimate will your punch do enough damage to warent the energy used. Kelly didn't fight much pass the 8th round but Taylor did.
I thought it was a good fight but lacked fire. Very workmanlike fight. Pavlov win it good decision but I thought it was close and 115-113 was about right.
Pavlik was the better boxer and showed good stamina to the last minute. Taylor stopped throwing leather for long periods and just wanted to hug Pavlik in the two last rounds.
Cringe🤡. Fury didn’t need to cheat for Wilder, anyone who knows boxing , has boxed and has seen his fights from the Olympics until now know he is a 1 handed 1 dimensional fighter with no boxing skills. Fury didn’t have to cheat , wilder was tailor made for him. Walk-in did a better job then wilder did , and he wasn’t even top ranked .
@@acetofresh1 Even though Fury was banned from boxing for two years for cheating and got put down twice and knocked unconscious by an unskilled boxer. You're honestly making fury look bad. +The D Hive To deny that Fury is an elite-level technician is to showcase that you have little understanding of the sweet science of boxing. Cheating allegations or not (and honestly, nobody knows what’s gone on behind closed doors) you can’t take away from his skillset.

@@aarond3641 Yeah agree. When I heard that he was taking on Hopkins, I was like “he’s in trouble”. I think he and his team thought Hopkins was a shot fighter, not realizing that he had another 5 to 7 years lefts as a top level fighter. Plus I thought that the argument could be made that he won both Taylor fights and the Calzaghe fight. Those were all super close. For Pavlik, the risk wasn’t worth the reward.

That’s part of the brilliance of Hopkins, he can take away your strengths. 4) Honestly knowing how a pro fight is scored, I thought Hopkins could’ve been awarded the decision. I read the two guys and I said Pavlik was the stronger fighter who would come out more.

Excellent work rate by Pavlik and some wicked counters by Taylor. I scored it 115-113 Pavlik.
Don't understand why boxers with quick jabs don't use it more to set up opponents. 1 jab every 20 seconds not going to cut it.

It takes a lot of energy to use it often and your not doing enough physical damage

Helluva Chin on Pavlik cuz he got popped by a Taylor overhand right about 20 seconds into the 12th round that would've dropped a less tougher fighter!
