You probably wont remember but I bought the Akra exhaust off your 1250gs…. I have just ordered one of these 1300gs from bmw park lane, waiting to pick it up next month for the newest plate. And advice on best luggage without the horrible racks? I have the variupter ordered for the top box
For budget reasons I opted out of having a quick shifter fitted which means no dynamic and dynamic pro mode. My train of thought was I’ve never had a quick shifter on a bike so I won’t miss it. On my test ride the bike felt more than quick and stable enough for me in road mode.
Great video. What is that tail bag you have? Good looking even backwards. Lots of mixed reviews on the quick shifter, most of the negative ones are twiddling the throttle while using the quick shifter.
One thing I've been corrected on by Richard is, I've not ridden the M1000 so I have nothing to compare it to apart from numerous 1250s in fact five and it's a grand improvement
Takes some getting used to not shutting off the power when changing gear and i noticed your right hand backing off when changing up while saying don't back off.....easier said than done. Enjoy your channel keep it up 👍
If you read the manual, it probably says that is incorrect, but I find that works the best way underload Wine of the Power tad. Anyway you’ll get a feel for it but there is nothing wrong with it. Trust me if you hear people saying there’s something wrong with the 1300s Gear Box needs i their bike needs adjusting.

I noticed that when you were testing the linked braking system the hazard warning lights came on, has that always been a feature of GS's or new to the R1300GS ?.
I think you’ll find it the microphone picking it up the bikes decibels in my mind is certainly more than the 1250, but maybe even exactly the same. I think in our minds we expected to be so much better by the end of the day it’s a boxer Engine All that rattling around is on the outside Gear Box is definitely not clunky. Nothing wrong with it at all unless you speak to Richard and and Ride the M1 now apparently that is silky but smooth quick shifter but I’m not about to try it any time soon probably because I will want one so it is what it is. It’s a GS boxer engine that’s what it says on the tin, that’s what it does put earplugs in if you don’t like it

it all sounds like hosanna when I hear you talking about the R1300GS. I don't hear anything critical, like a choppy gearbox, a steering damper that doesn't work well enough causing instability when accelerating. Not to mention the front brake, which requires a lot of force to get enough deceleration. A lousy front brake compared to the 1250
well, the real treat is get a little bit choppy steering damper is fine but you go and ride a multi Strada and then you ride a GS I can have a bet with you now which one you will be buying and it won’t be the Italian one that is for sure
Good honest review got the same machine I'm loving it it's a different bike from let's say the 1250 gsa 😂 . OK the bike will have some teething problems but who cares bmw warranty comes to mind great bike ❤️

The "Shift Assistant Pro" is a bad joke from BMW. Especially in this price segment. It always has been on the Boxer machines. It's cheeky of BMW to charge extra money for it and then call it "Pro".

When I'm using all the torque, I come off the throttle slightly when I'm not I keep it linear

Did you notice when you did an emergency stop to demonstrate the adaptive height control the hazard lights came on automatically. Nice safety feature.
Yes I did notice that 1250 didn’t do that. I also noticed the adaptive beat beat my feet to the ground.

I had the new 1300gs, I sold it, now a multistrada, much better when you ride not like a old man.....
